This hotel is very close to NYU where my daughter is an undergraduate student - so it was perfect! Old style and yet modern touches. Very nice.

Our doorman, bell captain and registration desk person were all super! The area is in flux, transition from historic neighborhood to homeless. The front doors of the Hotel are impacted by the trash, construction, and traffic on the street.

Great neighbourhood. Easy to access the metro and several restaurants with reasonable prices a short walk away. Great area to stay.

The hallways and elevators are very dingy and the furnishings are very cheap. I don’t know why the rate was so high when there were no perks. No availability for water or drinks.

We loved everything about our stay! It is in a fantastic location walkable to so many great parks, restaurants, fun neighborhoods. The staff were so friendly and helpful. We will definitely come back! Thank you!

Excellent staff and a wonderful stay! They were very accommodating as I had arrived early. I was able to check in earlier than anticipated. This is my 5th time staying at WSH and will always pick this boutique hotel over other stays.

If you love Greenwich Village, you can’t beat this spot. Hotel was, clean and quiet; staff friendly. The price was very good, given the location. Would definitely stay here again!

Our room was about 75 degrees at bedtime when we checked in ~ it was very tough to sleep. The front desk said we could open the window, nothing else they could do.

Definitely not worth the money. The pictures make it look a lot nicer than it is. Expedia states that breakfast is included when it is not. I was sick so I mainly stayed in the room with my 5-year-old daughter. They don't let food delivery in and they are hesitant to bring it up to your room. The bed smelled of vomit a little. The entire hotel is old and needs a refurb. The area is lovely.

Very nice boutique hotel in the heart of Greenwich Village. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Nice sized bathroom for NYC. Easy to get to multiple subway lines.

This charming hotel is not trendy and the rooms are small (but no smaller than a lot of NYC hotels) but it is scrupulously clean, the staff is friendly and helpful, there is parking nearby, and the location could not be better. Right on Washington Square, which is always lively with music and speeches and city Life, it’s in the heart of the historic (and trendy) Greenwich Village. Great restaurants and cheap eateries rub shoulders with jazz clubs, theatres, gay (and straight) bars and the West 4th St subway station, which can take you anywhere in the 5 boroughs. There’s even a simple but tasty restaurant right next door. A great choice for travelers who want to be comfortable but save their money for everything the City has to offer.

Great hotel in area convenient to shopping, the subway and restaurants. Very historic. Staff was great. Small rooms as you would expect in NYC. Ours was extremely warm, but it worked out. I definitely recommend.
