The property has a quirky design/accents. A somewhat modern twist to a deco-era theme. I happened to stay in two different rooms during my stay and found them comfortable and quaint.

Be careful when you book because the picture is not matched reality, they need you to call them to clarify what you see in Expedia and what they will give you. When you asked they said: we don't responsible for Expedia reservations.

Rooms were clean and tidy with easy access to public transportation (5-7min walk to Grand Central). Overall a great stay, but would've liked if the bathroom sinks were a bit bigger and the room doors were more sound insulated. The public bathroom beside the gym could use more maintenance and cleaning as well. Would stay again!

I come to NYC a lot for business, and I think this might be my new favorite hotel. The rooms are not only comfortable, but personable, with lots of great quotes from famous writers, comfy furnishings, and quirky touches like hand-painted tables. The staff is amazingly friendly and this hotel is well located if you're taking any sort of public transportation since it's so close to Grand Central, but an easy walk (or shuttle) from Times Square.

The shower had long hairs in it, the bathroom windows lock was broken so anyone could open it, and there was duct tape on the bathroom mirror. Disappointing since the pictures looked nice
