The hotel needs an update for the price we paid. There was no real curtains. The carpet and the bathroom is outdated. At night time it is very noisy. Like really you will hear it as if your outside. We stayed in a different hotel across this hotel and it wasnt noisy at all. The only good thing was the staff was so friendly. But wouldnt stay here again.

The best thing about this small hotel is the location. You’re right on a side street near Times Square. The rooms are average size in comparison to most hotels but probably big as far as New York standards. The hotel doesn’t have many amenities, not even coffee but of course you’re surrounded by restaurants and shops. I originally booked this place because I read a review that it’s not in the middle of Times Square so away from the noise. That was incorrect statement. Every night it was a bit hard to sleep with the loud noise coming from outside. Sirens, people shouting, music, cars horns… you name it we hear it. The cleaning crew don’t do a good job. When we arrived there was No hand soap for 2 days, no body wash and the bathroom floors and carpet smelled a bit. It has the smell of wet dog. We ordered DoorDash two days in a row, 2nd day the food was dropped at the front counter and the staff couldn’t even bother to call us to tell us we had a delivery. Overall, my stay was not great or terrible but I wouldn’t stay there again. Traveled with 2 adults and 2 kids.

Great location! Handy to theatres, Time Square, subways, & Rockefeller Center. Very friendly staff (especially Daniel) and clean rooms with larger bathrooms than most midtown hotels. Very quiet. Definitely will stay there again. Only complaint is towels are getting ragged and it would be nice to have more glasses in the room.

What an amazing stay. The bar/restaurant was closed when we were there but that didn’t matter because you are so centrally located. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful and our room was gorgeous! So much space and when you are Sharing with a teenager that really counts. Also very quiet.

The property was good overall with the exception of slow elevators and scaffolding outside. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was adequate size and the bathroom was very nice. The best part was the water pressure in the shower!

Attractive lobby and room. Liked the water dispensers in the halls. Hotel staff was courteous and helpful. Bath towel was rough and had some loose strings. One light switch in bathroom was broken. Pleasant stay and would return.

Very nice updated boutique hotel. Rooms were comfortable and halls were quiet so had great nights sleep both nights. Perfect location, if you want to be close to Times Sq, but still get a good night sleep. They don't have a kitchen or bar open on the premises, but there are a thousand places to get a drink or a meal right outside their door so doesn't really matter.

Hotel was adequate. Location was fine. Close to Time Sq and walking distance to other areas & close to subway. No major amenities - lobby or seating area is not very cozy. Small coffee bar in lobby in the morning. No coffee machine in room. Room was clean & spacious. Heater or fan was really noisy.

A hotel half a block from 7th Avenue in Times Square was so convenient. The Muse was very clean. Our 2 king room was extremely spacious and every hotel staff we encountered was very friendly and helpful plus the added convenience of valet parking in midtown New York makes this hotel a great place to stay. This hotel deserves a wonderful rating.

Beautiful hotel. The room was very clean, the bed very comfortable, and the bathroom super spacious (a rarity in nyc). The lobby was comfortable but a bit barren. The bar is closed, no food either. Plenty of bars and food around but it affected the feel of the place. What was the only fully disappointing aspect was the poorly executed coffee bar. The hot water was in a dispenser which must have been used for the coffee the day before because the coffee grounds in and lingering coffee flavor of the water impacted my morning tea. The coffee bar was poorly stocked as well. A little more attention here and I give it a full 5 stars.

The room was clean and nicely decorated. The bathroom had nice products and the strongest water pressure I have ever experienced in a hotel! The real star of the show however is the staff. Everyone was so friendly and helpful and all of our needs and requests were met promptly. I would definitely recommend The Muse! Thank you for a lovely stay.

There were three of us and we booked a mini-suite. It was adequate. Location is great-very close th Times Square and easy walk to 5th Ave. lots of subway access. The lobby is large, but the lighting makes it appear dull. I would brighten it up. Staff was very accommodating. Had a problem with the television, and someone came right up. Help me understand it better. (He told me that was a new system, and that he wasn’t sure about how it worked yet.)

First time in NYC. This hotel was so convenient to Times Square & Broadway shows. It was very walkable to major areas. It was clean & rooms were larger than most. We would definitely stay again!

overall great convenient place. The room was clean and comfortable, shower nice. There is a fridge in the room which is useful. The only thing missing that would be nice to have is tea/coffee machine.
