Closed hotel horrible experience
Went to the hotel and the hotel was closed. Had to check into another which was the Paul hotel. The check in was horrible had to pay 150 for incidentals and was only staying one night wasn’t informed that the hotel was closed

A STINKY experience
It was an ordeal. Street on which property is blocked from both ends as there is also a police precinct across from the hotel so I had to park two blocks away. Walked to the hotel with luggage in hand and come to find out property is shut down because it’s been sold. A signed said to contact our sister property 6 blocks away. It took 30 mins to confirm that they had my reservation. In Manhattan you cannot just park where you feel like it so I walked 6 blocks with luggage. No apologies from staff on any inconvenience. Finally checked in but room was not exactly what I expected. Later around 10 pm came to find out no iron in the room. Called front desk for almost 25 mins but no reply or call back as I was able to leave a voicemail. Finally went down to front desk and asked for one and again no apology and I was told a porter will bring it up right away..again I went down to front desk around 11:30 pm to let them know I have yet to receive it and found out that girl had forgotten to tell anybody..All around worst experience of my life at a hotel.. I am upset with Hotel.com as well for making reservation at a close property.

This is not the hotel i stayed at. I stayed at the paul hotel. It should be told ahead of time when you book this hotel that its closed and that you will be staying at the paul hotel. We were in the rain with all our stuff and we got super wet. Please notify ahead of time so that it wont inconvenience anyone.

When I arrived after a 4 1/2 hour drive with my family at the middle of the night the Tryp was closed down for business. I found out it had been closed over a week prior to when I booked my reservation. Then a note on the door sent us to another hotel, The Paul where it seemed.like homeless people lived at. On top of a drug deal being done right in front. Dont waste your time or money with them. I suggest calling around before booking any hotel in the area since i saw many more closed for business as well. I did get anothe hotel but it cost me 3x the amount but I rather my families safety above all else.
