Everything was amazing where I enjoyed my stay. The only thing I didn’t like was that the hotel did not provide breakfast.

First thing. Shabby block, hotel entrance uninviting. Second thing. No Elevator/lift. Maybe I missed it in the description, but all rooms are on upper floors. Carry whatever you bring upstairs. They do offer assistance on a notice at reception, but nobody offered to help. Rooms are odd shape and budget furnished. No bedside table, no chair, tiny bathroom. Noisy location. Not the hotel’s fault, but you are one block from Penn Station and Madison Square Gardens. Cars in NY are powered by their horns, apparently. At checkout. Nobody at reception, no bell or notice of absence. When someone arrived, I asked about storing luggage; “sure, just leave it in the heap there”. Zero security. I found commercial left luggage at Penn Station. When I went back to get my bags, nobody's stopped me taking my bags and leaving. Overall - I had a cheap room for one night, but I won’t be returning.
