Nice for an NYC visit

We were so pleased with LaGuardia Plaza hotel- it was affordable- much better than the city prices- there were a couple of small glitches at check in but they were quickly resolved- we highly recommended this hotel! The shuttle system was a lifesaver and the drivers were so friendly and helpful. We spent 5 nights and we would definitely do it again.

Parts of the hotel, and of the room I stayed in, are being renovated but the effort isn't complete. The caulking around the bathroom is coming apart, the floor of the shower was stained and the toilet bowl had scratch marks. The quality of the sheets were good but the coverlet was a cheap poly with snags. Otherwise it was a very clean room. My television didn't work so I called assistance; they were very fast, polite and fixed it immediately. Seems the staff are working hard to overcome some of the physical shortcomings of this hotel.

1980s style posh but still good

Convenient to Laguardia airport, this hotel has nice size, clean rooms and good amenities. Price was well worth the experience and was a good alternative to staying in an overpriced room in midtown.

I love it I love it .. I LOVE IT !!!

I never write a review for anything but, It was my birthday Saturday and just wanted to get away. I was looking at reviews before we went. I have to say I was a little scared, but when we got there it was perfect. The front desk was so very nice, when we had a problem we called the front desk, they was there in less then 10 minutes. The pool was very nice and also the gym . We didn't go out cause we loved are room and it was very cold. but are room was perfect not to many people. everyone was very friendly even other guest I will definitely come back. Thank you so much

The hotel was good the only thing was the information provide from the front desk the time to go to the airport JFK was way off and the receptionist say she will make the reservation then we came back she was not there the person say they don't do reservation every body was on a different page

Nice hotel. close to Laguardia airport.

Pros: the staff was very eager to help with any situation. including taxi's, shuttles, info about malls and restaurants.
Cons: better communication between their website and their staff. they should be informed about what they are selling.
Location: the location is fair because it is near airport. but you need a taxi to go anywhere from there.
very nice and clean hotel, staff is very friendly, having booked online, i was a little disappointed that i had to present my printout to get my prepaid breakfast. otherwise i would not have gotten it, even if i prepaid for it.

Pros: Staff and cleanness.
Cons: Parking rates are too expensive.
Hotel is clean and staff friendly. Room very comfortable and quiet. It's a smoking-free hotel but I think someone smoked in a nearby room which cause the bathroom to start smelling like cigarette's smoke. It spoiled the cleanness of the bathroom. Parking rates are expensive but staff let you know you can also park on the street. Nevertheless in the morning, several cars were towed away by police.

Good and Convenient LGA Hotel

Pros: Surprisingly quiet with it being right at LaGuardia Airport. We were disturbed by the running kids in the hall but didn't hear one plane.
Cons: The tv in the room was horrible. It had a line that ran down the center of it, and the picture was fuzzy.
Location: Every 20 minutes a shuttle ran to and from the airport starting at 4 am if I remember right.
Our check in and out were quick and painless. There wasn't a microwave in the room, but they at least had them available to use on floors 3&4. The one thing that I really didn't like is they had one elevator shaft, and we had a room that was all the way around the building from it. So being on floor 5, in order to use the microwave or even get ice, we had to walk all the way back around to get to either. Another guest and I were kind of laughing about it. She caught me going the other way to see if there was a closer elevator, and told her husband that I did the same thing she did.
