Check in went in smoothly. Office staff friendly. Rooms were spacious and very clean. Beds were very comfortable after a long day, we were able to get a good night sleep. Check out was easily done. Clerk got us a car to take us to the airport. I highly recommend this hotel and will definitely stay here on my next trip.

When arriving to the times square hilton. We quickly realized the property is under construction for renovations. The areas around the entrance floor and hotel and elevators were completely bare and in the middle being worked on. Upon arrival we were asked if we wanted to upgrade to the alladin suite- we said yes because we were told it would be a larger room- an upgrade- it was not. Originally i had booked a room with a view and high floor which was most important to us. The new room was only 1 floor above check in with a very mediocre view. Also the decor for the Aladdin room was extremely cheesy and not well done. While in Renovation it is obvious someone set a paint can down and put a ring on the carpet. To hide it they just put up a room doving screen that they tried to pass off as decor but took up a large portion of the larger room we paid for. Also a big part of us choosing the larger room was the sofa bed for my brother- when we can back at night there weren’t any sheets on it and no one was answering the front desk so my husband had to go down to the front desk - it was honestly almost an argument to get the proper bedding for the sofa bed we paid extra for. In the morning we couldn’t get anyone to answer the phone to ask the valet to get the car, again we had to go down. The place is hugely busy with not enough staff and not enough services during renovations for how much they are charging. Also we literally felt swindled by the Aladdin room.

I wish we had read other reviews of the property beforehand. There is major construction going on and it is super loud and not at all like the photos online. When we arrived, we were trying to just leave our bags after our red eye, waiting to check in. We were told by the front desk that we could check in early for $100. One person said we would be able to get in around 9. After waiting for an hour and a half, another employee at the front desk said housekeeping didn’t even come in until 9. She went on to explain everything without making eye contact, acting like I was not even there as she scolded me for not knowing their policies. While I sat on the lobby continuing to wait, the ladies at the front desk began talking about us like we weren’t there. I was too tired to complain, but as a Hilton Rewards member I have never experienced such terrible customer service. They would not allow us to receive credit for our stay and earn points. We like using the One key instead of the card keys and this made that feature unusable, along with checking out online. There is a $35 resort fee that you can use towards the little snack shop. You choose everything yourself and the cashier asks for a tip. Seriously? Our room was fairly clean, but the sink and trash were still dirty. I had to call for extra towels and by the last day (Day 2), they wouldn’t even answer our phone call. All the reviews that are online are true, especially the more recent reviews.

Terrible experience. Very rude staff at check in. Treat customers who booked through Expedia as second class. Wouldn’t even honor the room type I reserved through Expedia. Hotel is in terrible condition due to renovation. All staff seems rude and not willing to help. Would never go back!!
