horrible service and room at that price

I booked this one while it had a discount (note: given this hotel's high price, its discount price is still more expensive than nearby 4-star hotels). When I checked in, the front desk girl ignored me on purpose for 5 minutes: I was standing right in front of her and there was no way she didn't see me; yet she didn't even look at me or indicated in any way that she would take care of me any time soon. The guy next to her had to pat her arm to hint her what she should do. The room I got was right next to the elevator, on the second floor, with its window facing a busy street. It was noisy the whole night. The bed was small and uncomfortable. Basically I felt that this is a crap room they couldn't sell to anybody and finally gave it a discount, although with even less price a friend of mine stayed in a 4-star hotel nearby and was treated extremely well. Conclusion: if you are willing to pay 500 dollar per night, I guess they have some really fancy room for you. However, don't get attracted by their big discount: with the same price you'll find a much better room in a 4-star hotel.

Me hospede con mi hija de 20 Anos por 3 Dias. Despues de las 6 de la tarde Ella no tenia permitida la entrada a la terraza o para tomar un cafe conmigo. Esto no esta explicado en la descripcion del hotel. Es un bar abierto con musica muy fuerte. La zona esta lejos de todo menos del Empire State. Muy feo el vecindario y la gente que trabaja ahi no Es muy simpatica.

Really great stay. The staff went that little bit further than I might expect...I told the concierge it was my gf's birthday....not only did he book a restaurant and secretly email me but also had a bottle of champers left in the room!

final de semana caótico em Nova Iorque com a nevasca a paralisar toda a cidade. Hotel perdeu grande oportunidade de oferecer aos hóspedes serviços alternativos para aquela excepcionalidade.

Excellent room. Accommodating staff. Initially booked the wrong Gansevoort. Staff at Gansevoort meatpacking not helpful. Uptown was very understanding and gave me a wonderful suite.

Nice Hotel

Pros: I liked the overall decor of the hotel, the comfortable bedding and the cleanness of everything.
Cons: In my opinion, nothing can really be improved; this place is great!
Location: The location is pretty good, there are plenty of little restaurants to go to around the area and the place itself even has a rooftop bar.
Overall, this hotel is lovely! The staff members are very nice, the rooms and hotel in general are very clean as well. The lobby area is very nice and chic and has a lovely fireplace going that just makes everything elegant and cozy. The bed is extremely comfortable and the hotel offers a variety of drinks and snacks in each room (that you have to pay for obviously). The view from the rooftop is beautiful and that atmosphere is great! I would definitely go there again and recommend this hotel for anyone.

UMMM never again

Ok so I walk into my room with my husband to find 2 double beds lol I called down to the front desk and took them over a half hr to find me a king size room then we go down to our appt in the spa and the staff was horrible they just said ok go sit on the bench and wait they gave no direction on where to change they didn't show us around at all but the message was really good so that was a plus and we also received 25$ off each service because we were staying in the hotel so that was a plus the next day we checked out only to find that the valet or parking garage scratched our car then I looked over my bill and they charged us 2 times for our room that I already paid to exepeida I often stay In the city and never had an experience like that needless to say we won't be staying there again 😟
