excellent location for all attractions

Posted 21-May-2017
Pros: pool
Cons: wifi
Location: loads of attractions within walking distance of hotel area.
Nice to have the pool for relaxation after a hectic few days sight seeing. Comfy bed. Staff friendly. Plenty elevators, only down side, wifi did not work for my phone. Few nice bars for food and drink around the corner. Hair dryer - very low speed, did bring my own (GHD) but same.

Fab personal hotel in great location

Posted 9-May-2017
Apart for a couple of hiccups on checking in (given incorrect room keys) this was a faultless stay. Room and bathroom good sized, well equiped and nicely decorated. Destination bar on roof. Go for lunch when its quieter.

Horrible Experience!!!

Posted 6-May-2017
Pros: Nothing!
Cons: New friendly staff! A warning of how loud the rooms are and prepare to not sleep.
Location: We stayed the Plaza! lol. Worth every penny. Don't stay here!
We recently stayed at this hotel. First impressson we thought well this is cute. We immediately went to the rooftop patio to check out the views and had an appetizer, gave the waitress our card for payment of $36. The only time we used this particular card at this hotel. We stayed on the 16th floor, and had we known the bar/club upstairs was open past 4am we would have stayed elsewhere or asked for a room down on a different floor. Our room walls were vibrating from the music till all hours of the night, we got zero sleep from the partying all night. We checked out the following day to see 5 charges on our account totaling $1400. We asked them about it and it was someone possible the server who had our card from earlier charging alcohol on our card all night long. Given I'm 5 months pregnant, it was laughable and the hotel was not much help. We get home and a total of now $3,000 has been charged on our account. Hotel management was extremely rude, refused to give us the General Managers email and contact information, sent us to voicemail, and was very unpleasant dealing with. It's one thing to make a mistake, but this was fraud and they had nothing to say about it but in the words of the manager Elizabeth on duty "try and fight this, you don't know who I am". I don't even know what that means? But, here is your warning on staying here. Save yourself from the thieves working here using your money to their advantage and thinking they can get away with it. Sick!

Will never stay again

Posted 2-May-2017
I called and spoke to the "director". She was so rude. I was simply calling to make sure that I was getting the right room type. She told me she couldn't help me and that I should call Expedia. Apparently, it was too difficult for her to check the computer. We arrived and the AC in our room did not work. Finally, after complaining and asking five times that someone come up and fix it, did it finally get fixed. The balcony door didn't lock. Asked for that to be fixed...in five days it still had not been fixed. Wifi never worked. Staff was not helpful. Have stayed here on numerous occasions and must say, this will definitely be the last time. There are better hotels in NYC, especially for the prices they charge.

350.00 for the Handicap Room.

Posted 27-Apr-2017
I believe that in you reservation site the hotel should state that they are offering the handicap room. As it was minimal and the room was obvious that was the handicap for 350.00???? this seems to me outrageous. If they tell me that it was the handicap room i would have chosen a different property. Thank you. Anselmo

Great hotel with phenomenal staff

Posted 10-Apr-2017
This is a beautiful hotel in a central location. It's got a great, trendy yet chic vibe (not a romantic weekend away type of hotel though). The staff is what takes it from a good hotel to an exceptional one. Every single person we interacted with went above and beyond. We stayed in a Park Avenue suite and it was lovely. Good size with one large bathroom and a smaller half bathroom, separate sitting area and a bar/serving area. It's a corner unit with lots of full length windows and short balconies. I did find it to be quite noisy (maybe because of the windows - lack of insulation? We were on the 6th floor so higher up may be slightly better). Beds were extremely comfortable with great bedding. The only issues I encountered was a so-so temperature control system; poor lighting (not makeup application friendly) in the bathroom and weak plumbing (takes a bit for water to heat up and flushing toilets could be a problem). Location wise you couldn't ask for better. Starbucks across the street, plenty of readily accessible lunch and dinner options - lots of restaurants (fast food, fine dining and pubs), Madison Park a short walk away. The rooftop bar was a fantastic place for pre-drinks or a night cap. Staff there was equally wonderful (and attentive). I would gladly return to stay at this hotel, any of the issues that arose were minor in my opinion (perfection is difficult to attain and very subjective). This hotel exceeded my expectations for certain.

Stayed for a weekend visit to NYC. Very friendly and attentive staff, extremely comfy beds and robes to lounge around in! Experienced the spa which was highly relaxing with a professional staff. Trendy rooftop bar was fun for a few drinks in the evening too. Perfect place for a romantic weekend! Loved this hotel and would definitely stay again.
