Pros: Pool was great, would've been nice if it got a little more sun. More than half doesn't get any sun at all. This is slightly deceiving from the photo
Cons: Bed was a little to soft, woke up with sore back. Personal preference i guess.
Location: Great Location!

Great location and building; horrible staff

Posted 29-Aug-2016
When we got there, our room was a smoking room apparently because the smell of cigarette smoke was strong. The hotel is suppose to be a non-smoking hotel. We told the front desk, and they couldn't change our room. We stayed at this hotel for a full week and the location was great, building was great, but the staff was horrible.

Nice hotel, close to the Empire State building

Very nice and chic hotel. Pool was great, a little crowded at times. Close to the Empire State Building which provides a wonderful view. Great places to eat and shop around the hotel!

Wonderful hotel with roof-top pool!

Posted 19-Aug-2016
Pros: The location and roof-top pool. The hotel had a modern look and felt safe.
Cons: The mold in the shower area. The wait staff at the pool and roof-top lounge area could be more attentive.
Location: It was in between all the places we wanted to see -- fairly close to Broadway (but not as crazy) and fairly close to downtown. We walked a lot.
Overall, we really enjoyed this hotel on Park Avenue South! I was very happy that I booked this Mid town hotel with a roof-top pool during a very hot and humid week in August -- it was so great to relax outside. The pool and our room had a view of the Empire State Building -- such an iconic view with an ever-changing sky. The staff were very nice, but the pool staff seemed somewhat burdened during the busy weekend period. The hotel had a modern and trendy vibe. A good location. We had a somewhat basic room with a King bed -- comfy and big enough for the two of us (we didn't have a balcony but we had a large window). A nice large flat screen TV on the wall and a fairly large bathroom with a separate bath tub and shower. The only flaw was the fact that the shower had some mold or mold stains. On the other hand, it was nice to have the hotel robes and the soap/shampoo/conditioner were of a high quality. We were at the hotel for a week and had a room on the 15th floor -- we appreciated the height since there was construction across the street lower down at another hotel. Our floor seemed quiet most of the time -- there were only two short occasions when there were loud male voices and cursing in the hallway and next door. There was only one occasion when we could smell smoke in the hallway near the elevator -- not sure if it was coming from the club upstairs or in the stairwell. It was nice to have the large in-room safe that we could use for our laptop

Not that cool or fun

Posted 8-Aug-2016
Hotel was decent. Stayed because I heard the pool and tooftop bar were fun. The pool was small and no available chairs (ever) and the rooftop bar was operated by idiots and was overcrowded. And not that cool or fun regardless. The staff generally are in trained or just unprofessional at this location.

Great Luxury Experience

Posted 16-Jul-2016
I was traveling for business and was looking for a place with an awesome nite-vibe. The Rooftop with a pool turns into a lounge at night. So it was perfect after a whole day of meetings. The room was very clean, spacious for a Manhattan room. DEFINITELY a major selling point over the other competitive hotels in NYC. Awesome and courteous staff. Highly recommended.

Very chic hotel. Good location

Posted 25-Jun-2016
Pros: The cool decor and surroundings
Cons: The shower. Eliminate the bath and make the shower larger
Location: It's within walking distance to Bryant Park, Empire State Building, and Union Squqre
Had an enjoyable stay. The room was spacious and well appointed. Bed and robes were very comfortable. My only complaint is there is a large bath with a tub and separate shower, and the shower is only 3' X 3'. People were very nice and friendly.
