Location and price great

Posted 2-Feb-2016
The location and price of the hotel were good. The staff were not that friendly or helpful. This was noted on checking in (room with a view requested and not delivered) and check out. Bell hop rather pushy, guy cleaning the coffee machine reluctant to help. Hotel taxi to the airport a little more pricey than an uber/ taxi but service was good.

Lovely friendly hotel

Posted 19-Jan-2016
Pros: The great location and extremely helpful and courteous staff
Cons: Nothing, really enjoyed our stay.
Location: Very close to Empire State Building, Macy's and Times Square. Everything in easy walking distance
We were a group of six who booked three rooms for five nights. We found the hotel in a great location with really helpful staff who wanted us to have a memorable stay, which we did! Would thoroughly recommend

Great staff, nice looking lobby, yet barely ok rooms

Posted 18-Jan-2016
The lobby looks nice and the staff are very nice, but once you go to your floor you are faced with narrow corridors with a lot of rooms. Our room was very tiny and so was the bed for 2 people. We are not very tall and yet our toes were hanging out of the double bed. The shower curtain and the shower itself were not very clean and in great conditions. The sheets on the bed were clean, but we asked for extra bed sheets because I always like to cover hotel blankets with new sheets since they dont get washed very often. We received two washed, yet very stained and slightly torn ones. Since I was very tired and I could feel they were at least washed, I did not ask for a change. I placed the clean part of the sheet towards the top, yet it wasn't very pleasant. I don't think throwing away worn out sheets should be a problem for a hotel as big as this! Also, get bigger beds. Efficient use of space is good but not to the point of sacrificing guests' comfort. The room was $ 113 for the first night and $130 for the second. With taxes, I almost paid 150$ per night for this room. Not worth it at all! Don't book this hotel for more than $90.

Nice hotel great location!

Posted 16-Jan-2016
We recently traveled to New York City and chose to stay at the Carlton. Hotel is in a great location and we enjoyed being able to walk everywhere. The hotel allowed us to check in earlier which was great. The room was nice and clean. We enjoyed our stay at the hotel and wouls definitely stay there again if we travel to NYC.

sehr zentral, 5 min. zum Empire State Building.

Posted 11-Jan-2016
