booked for a room that would sleep 6, they ended up splitting us into two separate rooms and said "we were being upgraded". ruined the travel experience and the bunk beds were extremely unstable and felt unsafe to sleep in the bottom bunk. also saw baby cockroaches when we were leaving... definitely would not have stayed if we saw those earlier

I enjoyed my stay at The Doxie. The staff was super nice. The location was great for dining options, convenient to subway and main NY attractions. Beds and pillows were comfy. This is in an older building and with that you will find narrow hallways and a tiny elevator. But this is to be expected in the heart of the city. I will definitely be returning to The Doxie.

This property was perfect for our girls trip to NYC! Our room had 2 queen beds in one area with a pocket door to separate it from the other area which featured a twin over full bunk bed. The bathroom had a pedestal sink, toilet, and large wall in shower. Several nice touches were the large dispensers for shampoo and conditioner in the shower, hairdryer, makeup wipes, and vanity kit. The check in process was very smooth and the employees were friendly. The negatives were no counter space in the bathroom to set toiletries on, and the elevator was extremely small so we opted to take the stairs each time. But neither of those would deter me from coming back to the Doxie Hotel!
