We didn't feel comfortable using them so we chose to go buy a couple pans to use and brought them home. It would have been nice to know prior to booking thatvthe fireplace was out of order. (Maybe a complimentary bundle of firewood would be nice for the inconvenience or a discounted rate). I messaged the host the day before our trip because I hasn't heard anything about the check-in process - what the code is or when we could expect to get it. The day of our trip, I still hadn't heard anything. I called and left a voicemail, and heard nothing. Then messaged again and finally got the code. The day before we were due to leave I messaged and asked if there was anything we needed to do for check-out and never heard back.
