Beware if you are allergic to cats!! Three cats roam the house (hotel). They are not in the rooms, but if you are allergic, you know this does not matter. I had to double up on my allergy meds. It could also just be the area of the French Quarter which was rift with MaryJane.
This is a unique 1800’s property! We loved the historic furniture and architecture. All the rooms are unique. The beds are clean and once inside the property you feel safe.
The staff was friendly. Our check in person was a bit ragged and confused, but friendly and helped us to the 3rd floor. The tiny early 1900s elevator has its own personality. It does not like the the 3rd floor! We could not get it to take us down. (The repair crew has been called, but it is New Orleans in the French Quarter! We think the crew has been on a long term delay!)
The property is close to the Preservation Jazz Hall. This is why we booked here. Highly recommended
The AC worked, Shower had great water pressure and hot water.
It wold have been nice to have a bit of information on the hotel at the hotel for people like me who like to read. And, a bit if info on the room, we did not see the safe until check out.
Beware- there is no place to park, which we knew. They valet your car. It costs extra. Worth it. Beware- tons of homeless people
Overall, we enjoyed our two night stay. The cats would prevent me from staying here again however.
