Located a few minutes from Tulane & Loyola, Downtown, Convention center and the Superdome. We are 2 blks from the streetcar which will bring you to the French Quarter through beautiful Garden District. Take the bus to JAZZ FEST! Nestled in charming Uptown New Orleans, in the historic, quiet and safe Uptown neighborhood of Carrollton. Close to beautiful Marsalis Harmony Park, the house is just 2 blocks from the streetcar line on historic Carrollton Avenue, the bus line on Claiborne or the taxi stand on the corner! Robert’s Grocery and Walgreen’s are just 3 blocks away. Mere blocks from historic, yet hip Oak Street, there are dozens of nearby restaurants, bars, coffeehouses and shops. So many things do do in our neighborhood! This beautiful 100 year old property was completely renovated in 2007. We have a driveway for one car. It has 2 stories, upstairs has two bedrooms with 2 new queen-sized (1 puffy luxe hybrid & 1 Puffy memory foam) beds with high end sheets and comforters. Each bedroom has a TV. Upstairs is a full bathroom with a claw foot tub. The downstairs has a spacious living room, including a couch and a full size futon. The kitchen is furnished with a fridge, dishwasher and gas stove with all of the necessities for great cooking fun! There is a beautiful dining room with a 6ft glass top dining room table that seats six. Downstairs has a new remodeled bathroom, including a gorgeous new shower, and a washer and dryer. The back door walks out to a private patio with a table and chairs, great for morning coffee or a cocktail! CONVENIENT DRIVE TO ALL ATTRACTIONS: 10 minutes to Jazz festival fairgrounds. Beds were comfortable and off street parking right at the front door. The stairs were a little steep (which was not an issue for us) and my husband and son had to be careful not to bump heads on the ceiling when going up! The host is wonderful and the neighborhood was fine but we never walked anywhere from the house. Streets are under construction but hopefully done soon. Only thing I could possibly suggest would be a lighted make up mirror in the upstairs bathroom. We would absolutely stay here again! ##### Candace B. We landed in New Orleans on Monday night before they shut the airport for the big storm of January 2025. Since we got in late, there were no grocery stores open and the city CLOSED DOWN on Tuesday and Wednesday. Our hosts came by with a bag of eggs, bread, butter, cheese, sausage, soup, and apples for us. We had enough for several meals and were immensely grateful to have them looking out for us.The VRBO is just as it looks online and was a lovely place to be marooned! ##### Katherine A. Top of the line appliances, bottle of wine in fridge, clawfoot tub upstairs by two comfortable and charming bedrooms. Downstairs had bathroom with newly renovated shower- with washer and dryer! Quiet neighborhood close totally line for trips into the quarter- our little dogs had a fenced yard for late night breaks and a park nearby for walks. ##### Billie B. The rental was extremely comfortable, well equipped, very clean, and peaceful. The location was ideal for us: only two blocks from family. The rental is close to the Green Line and easy to get around on foot. There is ongoing construction so the streets are torn up but once you know the area you can navigate around the worst of it. Our host Lori had lights turned on for us as we were arriving in the evening and she responded to emails or texts quickly. We will definitely stay here again. ##### Anne D. We wanted a residence with a historical vibe, and this home fit the bill. It's less than a three block walk to the streetcar going downtown, and a short drive to magazine Street / Garden Addition for some nice restaurant choices and shopping. Perfection will return when the city finally finishes all of the neighborhood road construction, but we found that to be a minor inconvenience.
