The good: the property was very conveniently located, and we were able to take the streetcar located right outside the hotel pretty much everywhere we wanted to go. There was not much partying noise at night and there were several good restaurants within walking distance. The parking was also easy to navigate and I believe less expensive than most other places in NOLA. The staff were friendly and polite, even in the many moments where it didn't seem like they quite knew what they were doing. The water in the shower did not take long to get hot.
The bad: Our room was very dirty. The floors were sticky and turned our socks black, and there was an infestation of fruit flies. There were stains on some of the bed linens and the towels had questionable smells. The shower also had the worst, weakest water pressure I have ever experienced, and the plumbing fixtures for both the shower head and the bath faucet were loose and rattled like they were about to fly off when I switched from the bath to the shower. The pipes also made a terrible, upsettingly loud screeching/squealing noise in the middle of the night that kept us awake for long stretches of time on multiple nights. The motel-style layout combined with thin walls meant that we could hear very clearly any noise made by people passing by our room or hanging out in the courtyard. Only one of the outlets in the room worked.
Overall I do not recommend the hotel despite the affordable price.
