Expected good service from a quality hotel chain

Posted 1-Feb-2016
I was glad that i got reproducible hampton inn quality service. I was worried that being a large tourist spot, that I would not get good service or that the decor would look old and abused. They didnt stiff me either on internet service and they gave me reasonable parking rates, unlike some other New Orleans hotels.

Hampton Inn Downtown New Orleans

Posted 21-Jan-2016
Pros: Great breakfast. Friendly staff - very helpful.
Cons: Daily service - should be vacuumed at least every other day for extended stay.
Location: Centrally located - 5 minutes walk to Bourbon Street.
Very nice clean hotel. Staff was very attentive. Room was bright, roomy and comfortable. Perfect location outside of French Quarters. Close to restaurants as well. Excellent breakfast.

Nice hotel close to Bourbon Street

Posted 20-Jan-2016
Pros: Nice big room. Comfortable beds and pillows. The location was great. Included breakfast was good.
Cons: Front desk
Location: So much to do nearby. Within walking distance to food, pharmacy, transportation etc. We stayed before a cruise and worked out great.
Check in was quick, but the person checking us in was not friendly at all. She didn't volunteer any info, I had to ask questions, request map, wifi code, breakfast etc. She was even complaining about the job to her coworker. The room was super nice and large. The cleaning in the bathroom could have been better, but not terrible. It was perfect location to go to the French Quarter - just 4 blocks to Boubon Street. The breakfast was good. The hotel was quiet for the one night we were there. Would recommend, especially at the rate we got.

Thank you for your recent stay with us and we appreciate your feedback. I'm pleased to see that you enjoyed your stay and the hotel. I'm sorry about your housekeeping service and mostly for the front desk service. As you can see from our reviews this is not the norm at the hotel and I again do apologize. If you have time I would love to discuss your stay with you more. You may call me at the hotel. Thanks again and I look forward to hearing from you.

Nur ein kurzer Fußmarsch vom Frenchquarter entfern

Posted 6-Jan-2016
Cons: Ja, bitte, renovieren Sie !

Great hotel overall

Wonderful, clean, roomy and well maintained. Terrific, varied hot breakfast. My stay in New Orleans was very pleasant. Near the French Quarter. Valet parking is 35 dollars a day.

Better than I thought

Posted 7-Dec-2015
Pros: I liked that it was close, yet far enough from the main streets of New Olreans. Our room was spacious and clean.
Cons: There was an odor in the hall, and no vending machines near the ice machines, which would be good.
Location: Walking distance from all the main streets and sites. A bit of a hike to the French Quarters and River, but we did it with two young children.
Compared to the area, our hotel was pretty decent. A couple of blocks from Bourbon, which is good if you have kids. I traveled with my family, so it was perfect. It was still within walking distance of everything that we did. We traveled on a Sunday, so we were able to find parking on the street that day, but we did valet for the remainder of the time. The staff was very friendly. There was a smell on the 4th floor when we first got there, but it was gone by the morning time. We also didn't realize how close things were otherwise, we wouldn't have ordered food to be delivered. If I ever went back, I would definitely stay here. I know it's safe and clean.

Nice hotel, in the heart of bourbon street

Posted 2-Dec-2015
Pros: Closeness to Bourbon Street Close to restaurants Close to stores (CVS, Walgreens)
Cons: N/A
Location: Great location, close to bourbon street, canal street and popular New Orleans attractions.
The hotel was extremely nice. The room was large and spacious. There were high ceilings which made the room feel huge. The room was clean and fresh towels were brought in everyday without having to be asked. The front-desk staff was nice. There were problems with my card and the staff were all patient and willing to help make my check-in move smoothly. The hotel is conveniently located about 1 street from Canal Street and 2 streets from Bourbon Street. Everything is within walking distance. Valet service was great and provided a safe place for our cars to be parked. Overall, I would recommend this hotel to anyone and will be staying here again.
