It blends old New Orleans charm with modern comforts and amenities. Inside, it has been beautifully remodeled in 2019 with an open floor plan, modern furnishings, all new appliances, and wooden floors. The place features 14-foot ceilings, floor-to-ceiling windows that flood the apartment with natural light, and local art. The backyard features a deck with seating. This unit is 1 of 4 in a larger house. The newly renovated interior features elegant decor throughout. The fully-stocked open plan kitchen featuring all new appliances is the perfect spot to cook a delicious meal. The fast internet and smart LED TVs in all rooms allows you to relax after a long day exploring the city. Each room is thoroughly cleaned between guests, and fresh linens and toiletries are provided to ensure a comfortable stay. The Lower Garden District was built in the mid-19th century and is one of the most scenic and wealthy areas of all New Orleans. Grand, historic mansions line the streets, making it a scenic neighborhood away from the bustle of the French Quarter and perfect for strolling. Find yourself within walking distance to upscale dining, craft cocktails and rare antiques. However, there is also casual dining, local bars, and boutiques all in the area as well. Nearby attractions include the World War II Museum, Audubon Park & Zoo, Lafayette Cemetery, Commander's Palace, and the shops of Magazine Street. Just a few minutes away from the Lower Garden District and a short car ride away is the famed French Quarter. Opt for taking the charming streetcar down St. Charles Avenue and enjoy all the sites in between. Many attractions can be enjoyed by foot, but for other means of transportation there are nearby blue bike share hubs. Taxis and ride shares such as Uber and Lyft operate heavily in the area. The St. Charles streetcar line is just one block away and can transport you up to the French Quarter or across to Riverbend. We were mere steps from the WW2 museum. We had no problem getting and uber to take us wherever else we wanted to go. The noise in this location was minimal, which was great for being right next to the highway. The only reason I gave the property 4/5 stars was because of cleanliness. It needed a good deep clean. This house is a couple of blocks away from the street car line. This allowed affordable and easy access both to uptown college campuses and the French Quarter. We could also easily walk to the WWII museum and the Ogden along with lots of restaurants and galleries in the warehouse district. The house is clean and comfortable. I loved the atmosphere of this property. The owner provided so much even though she didn’t have to. My only issue was the tv service. I’m assuming it was satellite. The only thing we missed is having a full length mirror for when you get dressed. Short Uber ride to the quarter and safe location. There is a bar/restaurant next door if you get hungry and don’t want to leave the house. Expensive but an option. All in all, would recommend and definitely stay again. ##### Alysia K. There are several amazing restaurants nearby. I would highly recommend Maïs Apres, it is exceptional and a 7 minute walk. Also Butcher is a 10 minute walk in the warehouse district. ##### Deborah S. The area seemed safe. We had no issues. The only thing we didn’t like was the doors creaked making it difficult to not wake anyone in the apartment.
