The property was not super clean and outdated. The hotel overbooked and i had to take a room that wadnt in great condition. My last night stay was pribably the worst. My key cards stopped working the last night, and we were kept awake by people arguing and loudly playing music.

The property is not properly maintained. The tub glaze was pealing. The paint on the walls was chipped. There was brown spill stains on the CHEAP linens. There was a kitchenette in the room, but it was not adequately stocked…there we 2 saucers, 3 forks, no can opener or any spoons. The facility does not have an elevator; fortunately there are only two floors. The side door entrance remains unlocked at all times. The one plus is that there is a self use laundromat. It only cost $1.25 to use the machines that weren’t out of order…just be sure to bring your quarters bc there isn’t a change machine on site. You are not allowed to leave your clothes unattended, yet there isn’t a place to sit and wait. Definitely wouldn’t stay here again even if it was free. I took pictures, hopefully I’ll be able to post them.

I would not recommend staying at this property. Pay the extra money to stay at a hotel that is clean and that has friendly staff. I won’t get into what the issues were, but I will mention that the management did respond promptly to my email regarding the issues and refunded half of our stay. That was the only positive experience at this hotel.

The only thing I didn't like about it was the abandoned buildings around it. Everything else was awesome staff was very friendly, and since we never been she showed places to go and things. Very happy with my stay

The room was very big but we didn’t use the kitchen because there is no utensils or anything to cook with. Any how, we were not planning to cook but just an info if someone plans to cook. The beds were squeaky which means they need to be changed and overall some things seem little rundown, but okay for the price. We felt very safe since the hotel its on Navy grounds but most buildings are empty. What surprised us was that the front desk didn’t have accurate information on the times of the ferry ( they said its every 15 mon when it’s actually every 30 min ) they said it will be going whole night on New Years eve when actually was only until 1:15am. They also didn’t have knowledge about the parking ( they said someone will charge a lot ) and told us to use uber to the ferry where actually there was free parking on the street. So that’s our main complaint: uninformed staff ( but seems like it was for most uber drivers too, no one knew anything)… strange how some people limit themselves in being knowledgeable. (not their priority I guess)

Rooms clean. Shower was ok. Hot water limited and not as hot as I like. It was fine for those who only use a room to sleep. The location was perfect for us. We walked to the ferry in the morning and walked back late at night. So hotel was a good price for a good room.

This is one of the worst hotels I’ve stayed in for a long time. The staff seems very uninterested in making your stay comfortable. The walls are thin, there is no elevator to the second floor, and the facilities are poorly maintained. The hotel is far from any restaurants and is difficult to Uber from given its location. Our bathroom light is connected to the fan. When you turn the light switch on it activates the fan. Something is wrong with the fan and it sounds like a dying goose when you turn it on and it doesn’t go away. So we have had to bring our phones flashlights into the bathroom or crack the door open when we use it. When I informed the staff about the problem, they shrugged and just noted it in a book. When we asked for extra blankets, they could only find one for us. We bought an extra room for my wife who is sick but they would only extend a late checkout for her room only of only 30 minutes. Whatever you do, don’t stay here.

We stayed at the Federal Inn and Suites for three nights. The cost is reasonable if you are looking for a low budget place to stay in New Orleans. The place is quiet and close to Algiers Point where we took the ferry across without the hassles of finding costly parking fees. It’s a ten minute ferry ride for $2 or use a jazzy card $3 for 24 hours for ferries, buses, and streetcars. Do not expect to use the kitchen as there are no supplies and is not equipped with kitchen essentials, such as plates, glassware, etc. The bathtub mat/finish is pealing and a dead fly dropped to the ground when pulling the toilet paper from the dispenser. When checking in, the lady was not friendly, talking to me from a desk in an office behind the counter. The lady who checked us out was much friendlier. I do not recommend this place unless you need to stay in a low budget place. We prepaid and was not prepared to go through the hassle of asking for a refund.
