The location is far enough out of the bar/crowd scene, but close enough to walk to French Quarter and other areas of interest. Easy walk to a grocery store, although we taxied back as it's a little long to carry anything of substance back. Nice breakfast diner type restaurant (Commerce) a few doors down, and a good restaurant at the hotel a block away (Laurel Oak at Magnolia Hotel), where we went several times for light apps and drinks. The space is as pictured, and I would recommend for anyone not wanting to stay near all the crowds of the French quarter. Had many amenities like plenty of towels and coffee and creamers and water and Gatorade. Well equipped kitchen (we didn’t cook anything). Both bedrooms were nice. The en-suite bedroom has a queen bed while the other has a king bed and bathroom right outside. I think they could have arranged it the other way, with the king as the master bedroom but it was fine for a couple of nights. The should improve the entryway into the building, would make a difference. Lastly, and many rentals are asking for this, the requirement to empty the trash and run the dishwasher, etc is really annoying. They have a separate charge just for cleaning, usually $150 for an apartment. Asking guests to empty trash, etc , is unacceptable. Otherwise, place is great. Would go back. ##### Thomas S. It was so convenient for us, close to the French quarter but also close enough to walk to the garden district and other spots around town. It was clean, quiet and well maintained. Any issues/questions we had were promptly addressed. Potential renters should know there are no windows in the bedroom. We found ourselves sleeping in because it was so dark. 😁 I would definitely recommend this property. It was especially nice during the Mardi Gras parade season.
