It’s not in the nicest neighborhood, but there is a gate to enter the complex which makes it feel very secure and safe. It’s about a 15 minute walk from the French Quarter and it was easy to get taxis or Ubers/lyfts to and from the apartment. We appreciated the A/C and how well it worked since Halloween weekend was a bit warm. The interior courtyard was perfect for morning coffee or nightcaps. The gate made us feel very safe. The area may appear rough to some, but we encountered no issues. If you are familiar with NO, you know many parts of downtown can be that. I would absolutely stay here again. A few minor inconveniences, the bathroom and bedroom blinds were each missing one making it possible to see inside, the remote had no back so the batteries were held in with a bandaid, one of the kitchen drawers was missing a knob, the tv was labeled wrong so casting was an issue but we figured it out and it was very cold during our stay but the thermostat was changed remotely several times. Non of these things were a deal breaker just small inconveniences. The property was very cute and stocked with essentials. The location was ideal for our visit to the FQ. Property was exactly as shown in pictures, and it was sparkling clean, sanitized. Very roomy as well. All essentials provided. Internet/TV was spotty at times, I think due to bad weather. I stayed as a solo female for 3 nights. Would highly recommend for couples or males and females not planning to stay out late at nights. The area outside the locked gate is not very safe. There are guys lurking there and passing cat calls at all times of day. There's a bit of walk to the french qtr, and you have to walk past these guys and homeless men on the streets. It was fairly well equipped although lacking some basics like oven mitts and dish towels. No shampoo or soap as promised. Minor inconveniences . Only a 15 minute walk to the French Quarter which was plus.The unit is behind a locked gate which made me feel very safe. My biggest complaint was the property manager not returning my emails when I contacted him about never receiving the code for the laundry room and then again when the gate was not working. Not cool.
