The location is truly about the only pleasant experience we had here. It was in walking distance from most things you want to see in New Orleans. It did have a decent "free" breakfast and surprisingly more TV channels available than I have seen before at a hotel.
Very curt front check in clerk-didn't want to be troubled with pleasantries. She just wanted to move you through (no line) as soon as she possibly could to be done with you.
Arrived with my Expedia itinerary showing we booked and paid for a king size room. Was given a double instead. Clerk blamed Expedia for error.
Thin Walls-you could hear everything (no sound dampening)
We were awakened at 4 am by someone's alarm that went off for hours
Green Shower head-hasn't been descaled in ages
Bathroom sink had no water pressure
The water ran all night-presumably from the floors above ours flushing toilets
No working exhaust fan in bathroom-steamed the entire room up
Construction began at 6 AM-very loud

I am sorry to hear about your experience, as we always do shoot for 5 star stays! That includes the higher than expected number of TV channels you noted, as well as upgraded internet, beds, bedding, and more. Unfortunately, it sounds like we did have some hiccups along the way with this stay though, and I do genuinely apologize, and hope that you can give us another chance to impress if you return to New Orleans.
