### Perfect Lakefront Getaway on Badin Lake
The Griffin Getaway(GG) is the perfect place for you and your family and friends to retreat from your busy lives to cast your worries aside, unplug, and enjoy the serenity at the lake. There is something about that lake that allows you to escape. “On lake time“ is not just a phrase without meaning. Badin lake is a family friendly lake surrounded by the Uwharrie National Forest. Bring your boat or jet skis and park them at your own private dock. Jump off the end of the dock where you will find great water depth. Go for a paddle on one of the two kayaks provided for you complimentary with your stay. GG is located in a cove, perfect for fishing or kayaking or just swimming off the dock. Soak in the morning sunrise from the deck. End the day grilling and dine on the deck in the shade as the sun sets. It's the perfect atmosphere to grill and have dinner outdoors. At night, descend downstairs to relax in the media room where you can enjoy a movie or play some board games or video games with the family. Or, roast some marshmallows for s'mores after a night's swim. If the need arises where you have to squeeze in a little bit of work, you can do so at the workstation. Fiber optic internet is included.
We would love for your to bring your 4 legged family member along on your vacation as well. I will however, only allow small-medium sized doodles to keep the house hypoallergenic for those who are allergic. $50 fee per dog with a max of two. Please confirm with me when making your reservation.
The kitchen is fully stocked with pots and pans, coffee maker, blender, hand mixer, toaster, utensils, dishes, knives, cups, plates, etc...
We provide an automatic under cabinet ice maker, convenient for filling your cooler to take to the dock or on your boat, rather than making trips to the store to purchase ice.
The main floor provides an open floor plan KIT/LR/DR with access to a spacious deck overlooking the lake. Down the hallway is the laundry closet, the main bathroom with access from the master bedroom and a second bedroom. Downstairs is the media room with a workstation area and a third bedroom with two full size beds. Walk through the sunroom out to the lake side yard, large enough for the kids to run and play.
You will not want to miss 4th of July week on Badin. The fireworks are fantastic. Uwharrie Point has a spectacular fireworks show, but the lake residents give them a run for their money. At dusk take your boat out to the open water and you will witness beautiful fireworks throughout the sky in every direction. A big bonus, is this house is situated on the boat parade route! It's my most favorite tradition where decorated boats cruise by the docks and some will even try to squirt you with their water guns as they drive by. You can squirt your water guns too! It is a great experience!!!
We have two options for boat landings. One is closer by water, the other is closer by land. Neighborhood landing 5-min via land and water. Public landing 6-7 minutes via land and 1 minute via water.
There are many places to visit nearby with downtown Charlotte being only an hour away as well Greensboro and Winston Salem and the Triad. Albemarle, Asheboro, and Thomasville, are all 30 minutes away and offer some dining. Richfield is a short 15 minute drive. There are some dining options here as well as a grocery store. We are very fortunate to have a Dollar General 5 minutes away to take care of your last minute needs. Locally, we have Scallywags, Badin Lake Family Restaurant, Sweet Haven Ice Cream Shop, and food trucks at the DG parking lot most weekends. Details to be provided at arrival.

Our adult children joined us for an escape to the lake, and this house did not disappoint. A well stocked kitchen and grill made our meal prep easy, and the beds and baths were perfect for our needs. The quiet cove where the house is located is well suited for kayaking and playing in the water. We would definitely consider this property again.

#### VERY Clean, Poor internet
Was an EXCEPTIONALLY clean and beautiful home, great location by the lake. Host was very responsive! Shower pressure excellent. However, IF you are wanting to relax in the evenings by streaming movies or having to catch up on work on your laptop, this may not be the ideal place. Internet was unreliable, lots of buffering and freezing once Netflix finally worked, maybe an older router?, maybe poor location?, two smart TVs seemed to be one of the first generations? Maybe remote controls needed batteries also (but we did not bring any with us)?

Host, Argelia, was great to work with! Home was as wonderful as pictures listed. Check in was a breeze as was the check out process. Kitchen had everything needed to allow us to prepare our meals easily and the grill being right outside the kitchen is a plus. Great experience and look forward to staying again

This property never has disappointed me, always so clean and comfortable. We enjoy this home so much this will be our go to every year as long as it’s rented. The house was immaculate with every accommodation necessary. From clean towels and linens to a S’mores Kit for the fire pit. It was an ideal location with not a lot boat traffic. The kids could swim at the end of the dock with no concerns. The communication between the host and me was top notch and the customer service was awesome. I highly recommend this rental. We plan on using it in the future.

#### North Carolina Getaway
This property is beautiful! All of the photos online were exactly how the house looked. Sometimes pictures look better than the actual rental, but this listing is spot on. The kitchen has great appliances and everything you could possibly need to cook meals. The hostess provided all the soaps, paper products, trash bags, foil, plastic wrap, and even had coffee! The hostess has thought of everything. Our beds were very comfy, as was the living room furniture. The downstairs area was like having a separate apartment. If you were traveling with family or other couples, you would have plenty of room. The porch deck is great with a table to seat 8, and separate seating area, with a large gas grill. The view of the lake is gorgeous, overlooking a perfectly manicured lawn. We had the pleasure to meet our hostess, Argelia. She checked in with us via text, and is happy to help you in any way. It’s a beautiful property, and I highly recommend it. We’re already thinking of when we can return, this time we family!

#### Awesome House
My family and I enjoyed the house so much. It was clean, plenty of room. Dock was right there to get on the boat whenever we needed to and swimming at the dock was a plus. We will be renting again. Everything we needed was right there, we just had to bring food and clothes.

#### Griffin Getaway - Badin Lake, NC
I highly recommend Griffin Getaway for your next stay at Badin Lake. Everything my wife and I needed were at our fingertips. If I had questions and emailed the Host, my answer was usually back in minutes. The house was immaculate, and the private boat dock made it so convenient for my wife and me. I so enjoyed my coffee every morning on the back deck which overlooked the lake. My wife and I hope in the near future, we can again use Griiffin Getaway.

#### Perfect getaway!
This was our first vacation on Badin Lake and we could not have been more satisfied. This house was perfect for us. The ice maker, deck, back yard and private boat dock were favorites! We stayed throughout the week of July 4th which is such a fun time on this lake - especially glad we entered our boat in the flotilla. The host is wonderful and we hope to return sometime.

We would definitely stay at this property again. The communication and check in process was responsive and smooth. It was super clean and outfitted with updated furniture and appliances. #### Felt Like Home Away from Home
From the moment I booked this property, I had fantastic communication with Argelia! She was quick to answer any question and to offer additional info! Information provided on their VRBO was perfect and the directions got us right there. When we walked in the door we were welcomed by a welcome sign with our name on it and a basket full of goodies! SO appreciated! The beds were super comfy and the kitchen was stocked with all the kitchen tools that we needed PLUS extras! The kayaks were a lot of fun to use and a nice added touch to have those available to the renters. We rented on Badin Lake bc we had friends that had a home on Badin Lake that would be there for the weekend, too. We had a wedding to attend in Asheboro and that was just a short drive in to town. This was a weekend to remember and it felt like home for the time we were there. We LOVED our time there and would definitely return!
