Perfect place to stay travelling from Ontario to Newfoundland

The bed was comfortable. The hosts were friendly. The view from the room we stayed in at Baddeck Inn was lovely.

Great place to stay with a fantastic view of the water! Easy check in, great location if you have a vehicle, and a wonderful outdoor space.

My room had a terrible smell I have to buy room deodorizer to help eliminate the smell. After a long drive to arrive at the hotel I could not use the shower since they did not clean the tub. The tub was very dirty that I could not use it the first day it’s was cleaned the next day. The shower curtain was very dirty with black mould of over use and the whole bottom was black with red that shows the amount of use and not washed. I arrived and hour early I asked politely if I could check in since I was there the gentleman said I have to pay $50 to check in early; which I understand as a policy so I stayed in my car until 3pm. What interesting was the other couple was allowed to check in almost 2hrs early and they were not asked to pay any extra money. Well how is that fair! The other issue breakfast was included so I asked the attendee if I could take my daughters breakfast with me as she had left early and I was told no I could only eat in and no take away. So it course I didn’t take the break, but second day I had to take the breakfast by force I insisted he served me and I took a paper plate to take to child breakfast. I didn’t understand why he was refusing that I take my food take away. Another issue was the beds the queen bed was sinking in the middle and made very challenging the sleep. I do not recommend booked from this hotel I was not happy especially being given bad service and a dirty tub that I could not even take a shower on a very hot day this was very bad :(
