Beautiful old building on the waterfront. Walking distance to good restaurants and the downtown area.

    4/5 Good

A lovely restoration of an old building. The rooms were charming and perfectly clean. Mattress a tad soft and temperature a bit cool. Our host was charming and responsive. Could have electric outlet near desk for computer connection and phone charging

A lovely historic old property with charm and character. Stairs to climb, but roomy and accomodating.

    5/5 Excellent

Wonderful Historic building with large clean beautifully decorated rooms and comfortable bed. In town steps away from and restaurants and shopping. Easy check in with very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful staff. Town is quaint and casual - basic restaurants and a local pub/bar. Lots of fun, but not for those looking for gourmet restaurants and top end shopping (though the knife factory store and local gift shop were actually had more true Canadian made goods than many shops on the Cabot Trail). We soaked it all in and had a really great evening in town as well as a very comfortable and restful night at the Customs House. Definitely will return next time we go to Nova Scotia.
