Rooms are clean and comfortable. Did have people staying adjacent ròoms who bbq'd at their front door though did go iside around 11pm, another night a domestic dispute at one of homes behind motel. Management welcoming, was popular with overnight travellers.

We booked last minute on the road and were out of options. The pictures looked good, hotel is run down and do t look like the pictures. It was clean enough, but very dated. I think they were renting rooms out to long time stayers and I didn’t feel the safest.

Dissatisfied in Antigonish
Came to Antigonish for Special Olympics National games, booked almost a year ago. We knew going in that it was 2-3 star motel (they are currently saying 3.5). It was the only place available when we booked but reviews stated it was clean. When we arrived it was very hot and we were happy that the A/C worked, the room was clean and Tv and Wi-Fi worked. The next day we went to watch our son and returned later in the day to find our room had not been cleaned. We chalked it up to the fact we had slept in and had not left the room until nearly 11am. The next day, the beds were made and garbage was emptied but we later noticed the bathroom had not been cleaned or at least not well. Day 3, room was not done again. My wife went to complain and manager assured her it would be taken care of. Day 4, room was not done again except the garbage was emptied and towels were refreshed (toilet still not done) I went to complain and suggested that we get a day or two refunded . The manager/owner was visibly angry and took a bunch of cash out of the register and threw it at me. I assumed he was mad at staff. Later he came to the room to see what needed to be done, we told him that we were leaving the next day so no point, he slammed the door closed. To his credit he came back later and apologized for “losing his mind “ and wanted to know how to make it right, at that point we were less than 15 hours from checking out so we told him nothing could be done. Maybe hire better staff?? Won’t go back!!

Quaint Mom & Pop Joint
This is a quaint mom & pop joint. If you're coming off the TransCanada (a "controlled access highway") the motel is off the Sunrise trail. The rooms are comfy, the owner is nice. The internet is small town fast but works.... as I'm posting this from Oasis. Although it's close to the highway, you don't hear the traffic. Over all a great place to stay along the Transcanada!!

Overpriced.......no more than adequate
It was acceptable as it was no more than a place to stay over the X-ring weekend. Of course because of that fact it was grossly overpriced. Two nights in a roadside motel in December should not cost $245 but i get it that the owners has to maximize earnings and take advantage of all opportunities. If there were other accommodation's available, I more than likely would have stayed elsewhere.

Hotel staff were very pleasant although not always present when needed. Office is often left unattended for long periods. Rooms OK for a stay. Other guests can be loud and with no monitoring can get out of hand as it did one night.

In town for Homecoming.
The Oasis was friendly and cozy. It was exactly what we were looking for - not too far from town, but far enough away that it was quiet. The owner and his brother were both fabulous hosts and we would be back anytime. My suggestions for improvements would included some instruction on the in-room heaters (ours remained at 16 degrees despite our attempts to increase it), and maybe include some sugar and creamer for the in-room coffeemaker. Thanks for your hospitality!

Hey. This isn't a Fairmont. But if you want a good clean room with updated bathroom and good wi-fi, this place fits the bill very well!

We stayed in antigonish with our children for a soccer tournament .We arrived fairly late which wasn't a problem at all with the staff. The room had a rustic feel to it, making it feel very homey . We would defiantly stay there again.

The gentleman at the desk was kind enough to give us a queen bed instead of a double without us even asking. Very nice of him. The room was a decent size and had the ameneties we like, microwave and fridge. Our only problem was that our TomTom GPS wanted to take us to a wrong location using the motel`s address. Not sure why. Had a nice stay here.

BOTH OWNER AND MANAGER SCAM ARTIST!!!
The owner and manager are scam artist. DO NOT EVER STAY HERE. We booked this hotel coming form Cabot Trail. Both the manager and owner are some Chinese couple, who are rude and impolite. They have no manners. They have taken $500 from my credit card without any proper reason or explanation. After several attempts to talk to them via phone and other means. I am taking taking them to court. Unless you want to get scammed and see unexpected charges on your credit card bill, then you might want to stay here. The beds are extremely loud and way to springy.

It was handy
This property is an old, but clean, renovated motor hotel. The rooms are a bit small. While the room itself was very clean and tidy, there was a constant "zzzzzzzz" noise coming from the abandoned-in-place heater in the bathroom. The room could use more receptacles for things like phone chargers and computers. The bathroom also had a very strong smell of some sort of perfume-y cleaning product that was not at all pleasant; I had to keep the door shut to avoid it. The lady at the desk was very nice, and very polite, but there is a bit of a language barrier. The internet was up and down, so, useless.

On our arrival, we found that the room was cozy and clean. We were disappointed that there were no extra towels. For three persons we found only two bath towels and two hand towels. We were quite surprised when we returned following our first days meetings that the room had not been cleaned or beds made or clean towels placed in the room

With a simple quick check-in, and directions to a fun seafood take out across the road, we had just what we needed: a clean simple accommodations for one night after a day of driving, and a basic breakfast provided in the check-in entrance. Thank you.

Nice older motel recently upgraded
This is an older motel of the "strip of units with parking in front of your unit" type. Inside the design is open beam with cathedral ceiling sloping from front to back. The unit was small - but the older furniture was compensated for by new curtains, lamp, and bedding. The owners have put efforts into new tile in the bathroom on the floor and the tub area which give it a more modern look. There was a medium sized flat screen TV with satellite box and controls. The wireless was weak and it meant I couldn't get Netflix to connect or my games on my phone to stay reliably connected but different rooms might have more luck depending on how close they were to the wireless hub. The bed was comfortable and sheets fresh. If you are not expecting a lot in the way of extra services like you would have in a large downtown hotel then this motel is a pleasant surprise.

Very clean, well kept, nice size. Free WiFi was spotty to non-existent. Frustarting. Owner said he should have rebooted the router. Heard this at other motels too. Seems a normal state in the province along the highway. Convenient location a few minutes from a very nice downtown. Would stay again.

Wow, cleanest motel room I ever stayed in.
Wow, everything looked brand new. The furniture and decor was amazing. I have never stayed in a motel that looked and felt this clean. The heat was on and the room was actually warm upon arrival. And the price was amazing at $75 plus tax. Well worth more. I have stayed in the area before and have paid $140 plus. None were this nice.

Spent Christmas holidays here. Rooms have recently been redone. Good TVs and channel selection. Mini-fridges, microwaves, king-sized beds, no bugs. Strong heaters, adjustable by remote control (can't comment on A/C because of the weather). Standard shower and tub. No telephones in rooms but free LD calls at reception.

Pleasantly surprised
We stayed over the labour day weekend. The newly renovated rooms were spotlessly clean and comfortable. The new owner couple were very welcoming and helpful . The motel is conveniently located on the transcanada highway 104 at the beautiful town of Antigonish. We recommend this motel to those who want to explore this part of Nova Scotia.

Not your average motel
We stayed one night with our family of 5. We put the kids in one room and slept comfortably in the other room. When we asked for a cot the owner jumped up and walked down to grab us one for our youngest. The pool was a big hit and the morning breakfast was perfect to get us out the door on the way to our next adventure. This "motel" has done a fabulous job of making over the rooms and the pool. Very clean and modern. Thank you so much!
