Life at the Dairy Farm

Coming to visit grandma? Prefer a rural spot to a hotel 30 mins away? Welcome to our home away from home. A modest 3 bedroom, 2.5 bath home with a great view of cows, and rolling green pastures abutting a working dairy farm. The home sits across from a gorgeous mountain view with a winding spring.

The house is located in the Cove. This is a mountainous region that doesn't get very good cell service. If you are from here, you will know what we mean. If you enjoy the outdoors, even just driving around the countryside, there is no more beautiful place. We have a covered back patio that can be enjoyed most times of the year and sitting areas on our porches for especially nice days.

We can't say enough about this lovely home and host. Communication with, and instructions from, the host were superb. The property was super-clean, well-marked, and well-stocked. There were games and puzzles for our kiddos. Our son wanted to know if we could buy the house and all its contents! :-) If you are looking to get away and relax with your family at a quiet venue, you don't need to look further than this.

Great Birthday weekend stay
I spent a weekend to celebrate with my significant other - the location was great, it feels distinctly peaceful - but you aren't too far away from anything if you needed (or in my case forgot) to bring something - There's a Dollar General a few minutes away and Bedford/Altoona/Roaring Spring are a short drive if needed. The joy of the dairy farm house though is that you really don't want to leave - it was a perfect spot to enjoy the day in the sun room, and binge an entire season of a show at night. The master suite was amazing - as was the bathroom connected to it. Honestly, if we could have stayed longer - we certainly would have.

Perfect place for this mother of the groom with peaceful countryside scenery. Sites and sounds of nature surrounded us. Friendly neighbors. The entire layout of the place was perfect for my elderly parents. Spacious, comfortable, and so very clean and well maintained property. Lovely decor with all the comforts of home. Felt like home away from home. Fabulous place to stay. We plan on coming back for future visits.

Great place to getaway!
What a wonderful place to stay! The house was perfect. - clean and comfortable with everything we needed. We enjoyed watching the cows from the back porch at night and in the mornings and appreciated the peace of being in the country at the end of the day to unwind. The neighbors were lovely (be sure to buy fresh flowers from the little girl's stand next door). We were a bit concerned about being remote, but there is a Dollar General and Subway within a few miles and it's not far to either route 30 south or over the mountain to route 99/220 (just on windy roads). Yellow Creek is very close for those who like fly fishing. Angie was wonderful to work with and very responsive.
