Converted barn is eclectically crafted and quite unusual…which we loved. Very close to Wimberley Square for great shopping, drinking, and restaurants. Close by (0.5 mile north is Wimberley National Mini-Golf ;very fun), Horseback Adventures of Central Texas (10 mins)…one of the best quality rides in the hill country I have ever done with incredibly athleletic and responsive horses that were raised on policross (!). It was perfect for our basketball loving kiddos who can shoot hoops all day and play in the creek forever! It was so refreshing to have a spot all to ourselves, away from the crowds. The location is also a huge plus. It’s super close to the square, where we enjoyed delicious meals at local restaurants, live music, and even a fascinating glass-blowing demonstration. Everything we wanted was just a short drive away. The environment was peaceful and the whole experience was incredibly fun for our family. Whether we were lounging by the creek or exploring nearby attractions, there was always something enjoyable to do. We couldn’t have asked for a better spot for a family getaway. I took my 2 teens to Wimberley for a getaway weekend. This open-air cabin was just what the Dr. ordered! My son did the rope swings so much he has blisters all over his palms, but not one complaint from him, he had an absolute blast. The kitchenette was a nice, simple size. Consider it like glamping with the best scenery you could imagine. We definitely want to come back next year. Deserves all 5 stars! ##### Mindy C. Pictures do not do it justice. Kids loved the creek and all the amenities. Zip line was a favorite as well as the rope swing. I would caution anyone listening to music. While we did catch a lot of clouds for the event the rest of the stay was quite enjoyable. We had no issues staying cool with the great airflow of the property, keeping the mosquitos out of the barn, or making simple meals. We enjoyed the fireflies and my toddler had a lot of fun following the local cat and playing at Old Baldy and the Blue Hole Playground (both only a short drive away). We didn't experience the amazingly clear creek due to how cold the water was (just being cautious for the toddler) but would definitely have taken a dip in the summer. ##### Travis P. When we read the description and saw the pictures for this property, we felt we finally found the perfect place. The description and pictures sold us immediately but didn’t prepare us for how truly beautiful this small piece of paradise would be in person. It is obvious that Wendy, Saul & Paul love their land, the outdoors and playing. We were close to town but you’d never know it which made it so easy to relax in peace. Wendy is an AMAZING host! Paul’s Barn was comfortable for our family of 4 (2 adults, 2 kids) with all the outdoor adventures right off the porch and plenty of fun games to keep our young boys busy. Rope swing, platform to jump off, zip line, kayaks, and basketball court were all a hit. Hershey (the cat) was an added bonus for cuddles and entertainment too! We got lucky and didn’t have to share the creek with other properties while we were there. There is a small AC in the loft to help keep the barn cool at night and plenty of fans to use during the day for good air flow since the doors are not sealing the barn completely. Shower was outside and the kids thought it was hilarious. Wendy’s property is only a couple of minutes from Wimberly Square. Had a GREAT time! Memories were made and relaxation was achieved. I would not recommend this for a family, Maybe this cabin can be a good use for 2 people. In the review of the cabin it clearly stated that the cabin had 2 bedrooms wich was false. In my opinion there is no privacy to do anything with the owner being present at the property staying less then 100 feet away. We decided to not stay at the property and we had to spend more money to rent a hotel for the night, and the next day we had to spend 1,500$ to rent another cabin for the next 2 days. By the way I have been going and renting cabins ever since 2015 about 2 or 3 times each year and I never had to write a bad review for any so it really upsets me that I have to write this bad review wich I hate writing. ##### Jose C.
