The home contains two large bedrooms with vaulted ceilings and new King beds with new mattresses. One King bed can be converted to two Twin XLs upon request. The house is newly updated with fresh paint, new furniture, luxury linens and amenities and a new gas range in the well-appointed kitchen. Walk to the riverfront, Tryon Palace and historic downtown and its many restaurants, bars, shops, and galleries. Relax on the screen porch. Cruise or kayak the Neuse and Trent Rivers. Take a short 45-minute drive to Beaufort, Oriental, and the beautiful Crystal Coast beaches. Sorry, but no children under 8 years of age. Infants are welcome but we do not provide cribs or playards. PLEASE NOTE: The home is situated on a raised basement with 12 steps from the street level to the front door. The house is the perfect walkable distance to the downtown New Bern area. The beds are very comfortable - firm but not too stiff (mattress comments are always what I check for in reviews). I had the BEST mornings on the screened in porch, drinking coffee and watching the beautiful bird and butterfly gardens. So peaceful! You won’t regret booking this for your next trip to New Bern! The decor is very nice; there were plenty of amenities in the bath and kitchen; and the owners, who live next door, are super. ##### Peter B. Not only are we close to the waterfront we get to be Just in downtown New Bern with all the history there. The hosts are great and very accommodating and always make sure that we feel welcome.
