We most enjoy the beautiful sunsets we get to view from sitting around the fireplace or from the deck or screened in patio. This home is perfect for those wanting to spend lots of time outside and on the water with an easy level walk from the home to the dock. Our canoe, paddle boards, and paddle boat are yours to cruise around on during your stay. A fire pit and lounging chairs are also handy for those wanting to just relax and take in the outdoors. 5th Crow Wing is a very private lake as it does not have a public access. If you would like to launch your own boat you are welcome to do so; the access to 6th Crow Wing Lake is right across the road from us and you can launch there and take a short cruise through the adjoining channel to 5th Crow Wing and dock at our home. 5th Crow Wing is great for fishing in the winter and summer months with lots of Walleye, Northern and Panfish. The kitchen comes stocked with basic cookingware , place settings, and utensils for 14 people. We have wi-fi available for use. WiFi is available and works great if you do need to connect a time or two during your vacation. We also have many games and puzzles available inside that are for you to enjoy during your stay. We are honored for a chance to share our home with your family as a place for you to build many memories together. Fishing was good, the kids loved playing on the beach and on the swing. The cabin lay out is really nice with the bedrooms all on one level and away from main gathering areas. The main living area was smaller than it appeared in pictures. It was a little dirtier when we arrived then we preferred, but nothing a prone sweeping and vacuuming couldn’t take care of. We had plenty of space and the home has a wonderful layout of bedrooms and shared living spaces. The walkout basement was a great place for the kids to play games and get away from the adults. The house is well furnished and contains all the kitchen necessities. I appreciated using the gas grill on the deck throughout our weekend. The beach area is an easy walk and not hilly like nearby neighbors. There are many watercraft items available for use such as kayaks, paddle boards, and paddle boats, as well as life jackets. The fire pit area in the backyard is great for a night time gathering. The property is peaceful and private. We absolutely enjoyed Tom & Laura as hosts and will be planning another summer visit. This lake house was terrific for our summer vacation with a family of 7 adults and 8 children! The kids loved all the water toys provided, a canoe, kayaks, paddle boats and paddle boards. The screen room was great to play, color, do crafts and enjoy coffee in the mornings. We had plenty of hot water for our showers and having 2 refrigerators to use was definitely a plus. The fire pit was very nice with firewood provided and the complimentary bottle of wine was a great touch! We had a great time tubing and fishing on the lake and there are some great little towns nearby to shop and get pizza and ice cream. The beach and shallow area was very weedy and the outdoor grill was not usable, but we still had some great summer family fun! The owner was helpful and very quick to reply to any questions. Greeted with a complimentary bottle of wine. Well-equipped kitchen (though the knives could use sharpening), spacious dining area and bedrooms. Wi-Fi worked well. Weather provided opportunity to use the kayaks which is a nice addition (paddle boards and paddle boats are also available for use). Some areas that could use a little TLC include the porch (removing cobwebs and cleaning screens), providing bath towels and not just beach towels, and some dusting around the house. Overall ver nice place. Would give 4.5 stars if VRBO allowed it. ##### Brenda W.
