The only complaint would be the hidden 50 pet fee that did not appear anywhere on the advertisement for the property. All fees were supposably included with the listed cost. We didn't find out until we were charged the additional 50 that there was a 50 pet fee for this property. The 50 additional pet fee only appears in the fine print of the exhaustive rental agreement when you are actually booking the rental. The web site should clearly list the additional 50 pet fee for each pet. The only verbiage on the web site relating to pets is that it is a pet friendly rental. ##### Barry S. Overall a great stay! Check in / out was quick but had to go to a retail business to pick up key. It was a beautiful well kept home that was clean and fully furnished. The owners were quick to respond to questions. Gps was a little lost getting us to the exact house but we quickly found it. The neighborhood is cute and appears to be trying to make a comeback to its glory days. It was a short drive to hocking hills. Would definitely stay again. ##### Stacy C. The neighborhood was rundown and felt a bit sketchy. There is some effort to revitalize a one block stretch that had a couple cute shops/coffee house. The outside is another story. The backyard is completely unusable, we’d filled mess. The furniture is moldy and the ashtrays still had used cigarettes in it. The front porch shows a storm door, ferns and a lovely porch. Completely not accurate. Again filled ashtrays, dirty furniture and a missing storm door. ##### Rhonda S. As mentioned in previous reviews there is no hot tub. We were offered a free kayaking trip. The back yard was wonderful and relaxing. We enjoyed watching the birds at the feeders. The house was very clean. I do wish check in and check out could have been on site but it was only about 5 min away from the property. ##### Tara H. The town is small. It is a beautiful home and I would love there in a minute. The home is right by the town square. The town is small. A few local restaurants are within one block. 2 of 3 were closed the weekend we were there. You’re 30 minutes away from Hocking Hills State Park. Beautiful park. The kitchen and dining table could have been a bit cleaner, and many lightbulbs were out around the house, but overall it was a good stay. There are no kitchen staples for a VRBO (salt/pepper, coffee, cooking oil) so bring ALL supplies you may need. Kroger is close by as well.There is a nice laundry room and backyard area. There was only a chess game, but no other games or puzzles or even a deck of cards that I could find. We have stayed at VRBOs all over the country (and overseas), and this did surprise us.There is PLENTY of space to spread out since the house is large and the outdoor spaces are nice to spend time in as well. We were there for such a short amount of time, we did not use the showers, so I can't speak to the water pressure.The beds were pretty comfortable and the A/C and heat worked well. ##### Jill F. The entire experience of staying with 1st Choice Properties was excellent. The check-in was clear and easy. When we arrived at the house, it was impeccably clean. This particular house is quite old (built in the 1850's), but the kitchen and all 3 bathrooms have been nicely updated. The interior design and decor are tasteful and modern. We encountered a small issue during our stay (we couldn't find the ironing board that was listed as being included). We contacted the management team and they addressed it promptly and to our complete satisfaction. I very highly recommend this house and 1st Choice Properties. This is a great house and we thoroughly enjoyed it. One of the bathrooms needs an update, but otherwise lovely. The town is a bit rough but the house is in the lovely historic district. When asked for the slightest leniency on check in and checkout, the management co was entirely inflexible… but, for a fee they could find their way to allow a late checkout. We were driving by 35 mins. before the checkin time and tried to pick up the key, but we’re turned away.
