Nestled right in the middle of approximately 8 acres of WOODS, you will find the Red Hickory. A cozy 1008 square foot cabin with an open Living Room, Dining Room area and an open loft area. This cabin includes a queen size bed in the loft and a fold out couch to sleep 1 couple or a small family comfortably. The kitchen is fully equipped with dishes, utensils and pots and pans for the nights you want to cook "at home" and snuggle up in front of the wood burning stove. Are you into grilling?? Two GRILLS are available for you whether you like charcoal or gas, you have your pick! And, of course, the HOT TUB is the most important part of your vacation. Enjoy sitting in the private hot tub with views of the surrounding woods. Also, a FIRE RING is located just off the deck for you to enjoy a nice warm campfire on chilly evenings. The cabin is also equipped with a flat screen TV that has local cable, along with a blue-ray player. Or bring your own streaming device and plug it right in. WIRELESS HIGH SPEED INTERNET is available at no cost !!! And cell service is pretty good too! It was very hot when we stayed but the cabin was shaded by all the mature trees. We were able to sit on the deck and enjoy nature. The cabin is beautiful and the owners thought of everything. The only issue we had was the internet kept rebooting one evening, but it wasn’t really a bother as we weren’t there for technology, it was more about being disconnected and relaxing. The owner is very responsive. Would highly recommend this to friends and family. We would definitely rent this cabin again. ##### Michael L. I love that it was tucked in the trees up a hill from the main road. We took our dog and 2 year old, so distance from traffic was ideal. I was worried about my son on the stairs, but found the owner had a baby gate in the storage room! I love they were prepared!The deck has been adjusted, it caught me off guard at first, but the huge flight of stairs was removed, it only has two steps with the hot tub right outside the door. I really liked that adjustment, again because we had our 2 years old who still hasn't mastered stairs. Ideally it's a couples cottage as listed, but we don't need much space, we liked the coziness for our little family. More than enough kitchen amenities, two types of grilling, large hot tub, towels and blankets were all provided. The sofa had a pull out sofa which was perfect for movie night in the living room. There's a trail behind the house, unfortunately we didn't get to venture out much due to the weather. Really loved this place, highly recommend!!! (Forgot to take more photos before we left) Other than the deck adjustment, exactly as photos show in listing!I had a few questions while there, and the owner was very quick to respond and very helpful! ##### Megan C. Lovely, isolated cabin getaway, conveniently nestled between multiple state parks and recreation areas. Well stocked kitchen/laundry for easy functionality. Very clean and comfortable interior environment. Would return in a heartbeat if the following shortcomings were addressed: 1) safety concerns with lack of sufficient ballister spacing on staircase; 2) deficient, non-commercial grade gas grill difficult to light and in need of cleaning/repair/replacement; 3) poor and insufficient landscaping around the perimeter of the cabin made the immediate surroundings impassible, wet (almost drain swampy around hot tub decking), and messy (very limited access for pet potty breaks apart from gravel driveway). The deck was very nice and the hot tub was clean and in good working order. The location was perfect as it was secluded but close enough to everything we enjoy in the Hocking Hills area. Wonderful location where you have your own small slice of nature, but close enough to town to not be a hassle.
