  • Came across the Kootenai Falls stop on the way home from a road trip. Hit it early in the morning so there were only a handful of people. A very easy hike. We stopped the end of May so the water was rushing through. Here in BC there are fences all around edges of cliffs and water. Here there was nothing so you could really enjoy the raw beauty of Mother Nature.

This cottage was great. The view of the lake from the couch alone was worth it- but super close to town (like 7 min to groceries,) fully equipped kitchen, super friendly hosts, and the outdoor seating, gazebo, firepit, dock etc were amazing to have access to. I would (& prob will) absolutely stay here again! An absolutely beautiful, restful week.

The cabin is a perfect size for two people. The patio and beach area are absolutely beautiful. The host just built a beautiful covered gazebo with lights. Making it a perfect spot to get out of the sun and enjoy the lake and mountain views.

Amazing property!

My boyfriend and I spent a week out there and had an amazing stay. The whole property was beautiful from the beach front to the flowers. Denis was so helpful with tips of things to do around town and was very friendly! It was a great place to unplug and would definitely book again.

Incredible view and vibes

We absolutely loved staying at Denis’ cabin! The location is one of a kind and the hospitality by Denis and his sister was very thoughtful. It was the perfect place to unwind after a day of exploring the beautiful Kootenays. We already can’t wait to return!

We know how hard your searech has been if you are looking for a wonderful lakefront/beach property for a couple. STOP now and book this property immeadiately. This is the perfect couple retreat. You will find a generous space with everything you need to have a wonderful time. Only minutes from Nelson a cool and fun town. Your host Denis is the best and the unit is excellent.

Anniversary trip

We really enjoyed out stay. The beach and views were fabulous. The small cottage was small and cozy, perfect for 2 people. Nice and close to Nelson. There are lots of people living nearby but still had our privacy. Outdoor space was excellent with a couple great sitting areas and firepit spot. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and would recommend this location

One of our best VRBO stays!

Amazing little place on the lake. Very clean and tidy. We had absolutely everything we needed and the place was fantastic. The property and beach were beyond beautiful and even better than what the pictures show! We enjoyed taking a swim after our days mountain biking the trails around Nelson. We also had everything we needed to cook and grill up steaks on the patio and make breakfast every morning. Dennis was the best. He was so helpful and friendly, brought us fresh coffee and vegetables from his garden. We enjoyed getting to know him as well as visits from his dog Sasha. We are already missing this little gem of a place!

Perfect in every way!

We loved our stay at this cottage on Kootenay Lake. It was the ideal location--right on the beach with spectacular views. Very close to Nelson for shopping, meals and activities. The cottage was the perfect accomodation for the two of us--cozy, neat, and clean. Nicely furnished, kitchen was well set up. There were two eating areas outside and a chiminea which we enjoyed for outside fires. The host was excellent. Denis made sure that we had everything we needed, provided restaurant suggestions and even went for a walk with us to show us the area. Thanks Denis for everything. You won't be sorry staying at this property. We definitely would return.

This is a great little cottage. I could of stayed for a longer vacation. The setting is amazing, the cottage is very comfortable, and the host "Denis" is a wonderful person. We would rebook in a heartbeat!

Perfect

We loved this beachfront stay. Gorgeous view, Sandy beach, water is warm and perfect for swimming. We really enjoyed sitting by the fire in evening as well. Friendly and accommodating hosts and the location is perfect. Close to Nelson and Ainsworth. We will definitely be back, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here!
