Just steps away, you’ll find a sandy cove in front of the home—accessible by ladder from the pier next door—while a small private beach and boat launch are only a short walk up the road. During the day, boats can be anchored in the cove, making it easy to come and go on the water, though they must be removed at night. Sunrise Cove sits in an ideal location on the lake, near Wilderness Park, where nature and recreation blend perfectly. Outdoors, there’s plenty to enjoy. It snowed during our stay, which made the whole property feel peaceful, cozy, and exactly what we hoped for in a winter trip.The best part of this home is the space inside. The layout is wide open, warm, and incredibly inviting — perfect for a large group. The great room with its high ceilings and stone fireplace became our main gathering place for cooking, hanging out, watching football, and enjoying family time. We’re big on puzzles, so the large dining table was absolutely perfect for spreading everything out without getting in the way of meals or other activities.The bedrooms were comfortable, the home was spotless, and everything felt well-maintained and thoughtfully prepared for guests. Even with multiple families and kids, the house handled all of us easily and never felt cramped.The hosts were fantastic — friendly, responsive, and very easy to work with, which made the entire experience smooth from start to finish.Sunrise Cove was exactly what we needed for a relaxing and memorable winter stay. Jennifer was very helpful and responsive. There was a lot of parking for our group, including a boat & trailer. The only wishful thinking were the mosquito/ticks and not having direct access to the lake. We limited outdoor time at the fire pit because there were too many mosquitoes to fully enjoy being outside for too long. While you can see and walk a path to the lake, it would have been nice to see and access the water directly from the back yard (not a deal breaker though).
