Adorable house built in 1619 nestled among the small streets of LaGuardia. Be warned there is no elevator and parking is just a short distance from the hotel. Staff was super friendly and accommodating.

Nice hotel, terrible breakfast
Very nice hotel but the breakfast was simply terrible. It is better that they didn’t offer any rather than that. Please avoid it at all costs. It is a shame because other than that it is a nice hotel.

400 year old building. Cobbled stone streets. Very rustic (in a good sort of way) rooms. Great neighborhood feeling. Well located to nearby wineries.

Boutique style hotel in center of LaGuardia. Rooms were comfortable and hotel is very unique given age and character. Be aware that LaGuardia is a small Spanish town following the Spanish clock, therefore LaGuardia is a ghost town for most of the mid day. Plan your trip so you are not in the village for the afternoon, and if you are be prepared to see nobody anywhere.

Best place in town to stay
This is the best place to stay in Laguardia, an adorable town right near some of the best wineries in the Rioja valley. The stone building is beautiful and the rooms reflect the history of the building. Beds were very comfortable. Staff is excellent. Be sure to visit the bar when it is open. It is a hidden jewel tucked downstairs that serves some great wine, cocktails and tapas.

Restaurant good, hotel unpleasant
Unclean room and uncomfortable bed. Cheap toiletries and a tea kettle with no selection, only old herbal tea. Room was no smoking but smelled of cigar smoke. Hotel restaurant was good and town was quite interesting. Lovely walks including the circumference around the outside of the wall and through adjacent vineyards. Recommend visiting but staying in a different hotel, or a nearby town and doing as a day trip.

Boutique gem
This small hotel oozes with all the character of a 400 year old building, but updates gave our room 21st century comforts. The staff knocks themselves out to be accommodating. Best restaurant around. Amazing breakfast. Elegant dinner. Take time to get lost in the quirky medieval streets of Laguardia and soak in the amazing views of the countryside below.

In the centre of the old town. Park the car and walk. Worth the effort. A unique experience but not for those who can't cope with steps and carrying own luggage.

Old hotel with very limited services
We have visited La guardia previously but did not stay. This year we decided to stay & booked the Posada Mayor on the Internet. We were not impressed. The hotel gave us no indication of the parking limitations which ,if one was lucky enough to find a suitable parking spot ,required a 400m walk carrying luggage,to the hotel which was difficult to find. The rom was very limited with minimal modern amenities. The power went off if one boiled a kettle etc.The level of comfort did not justify the cistern of the room. The only plus was the friendliness of the afternoon reception staff. The prices for breakfast & evening meals was very high .

Thank you for your opinion, by the way it is a shame that you did not inform in advance about Laguardia which is a medieval walled town and our hotel is a four hundred years old Palace located in the principal _Mayor street so very very very difficult to find... . We can not understand how you can make a valoration of our prices in restaurant and breakfast when you did not have any dinner or breakfast,, so you are talking about price without any experience about our servixce and quality, Anyways we want to give you a great suggestion: Next time if you want any information woull be a wonderfull idea to contact with the Hotel so maybe you will get what you ask for...Thanks for your visit

Beautiful!
What a wonderful hotel in a beautiful town! The hotel building is awesome and our room was not huge but had an amazing view (and a shower big enough for a 6’4” man!). The pool is great and breakfast had many options. Parking on-site is also huge. We wished we’d had longer here!

Rustic hotel with charming features
This is a very quaint hotel nestled in a beautiful town. It is a little tricky though since there is no elevator, so carrying up luggage can be tough. Our room was comfortable, though it did feel a bit spartan. We were only there one night, so it was a good stay for our quick visit.

Quaint and Charming
Entirely compatible with the ancient town of Laguardia. Posada has done a good job of adding modern conveniences to the old place. Had the continental breakfast which very nice, and served well (not a buffet). Parking was a bit of a hike, but we knew that in advance.

We arrived very late due to a flight delay. Staff
We (7 of us) arrived very late due to a flight delay. Staff was incredibly accommodating, fixed us a late meal with excellent wine after hours since we hadn't eaten. They reserved a wine tasting at Marque de Riscal when we were told it was not available. Easy check in, Easy check out. We loved this hotel and the wonderful people working there! Thank you!

Charming Walled City Hotel
We loved the location of this hotel, inside the walled town of Laguardia. It is very charming, service was wonderful, and comfortable. There are no elevators and parking is outside the walled town. We parked close to one of the gates and the reception staff carried our bags up several flights of stairs. Breakfast and dinner in their restaurant was very good. They offered to take us on a tour of their wine cave after dinner and we accepted. Very interesting.

Hotel within the historic walled town
Great hotel in a medieval building where the floors slope and full of polished wood features throughout. The staff were welcoming and friendly so would recommend for a stay in beautiful LaGuardia. The only minor point was the bathroom looked a little tired but was perfectly clean.

The best place to stay in Laguardia
Fabulous hotel in the old part of Laguardia. Hotel full of character, lots of common spaces and lounge areas to relax. Big rooms, all different in decor. Professional service staff, very accommodating. Our room was the origional Bishops room, huge in size with lovely uneven tiled floor that added charm, remembering the place is several hundred years old. Bathrooms tastefully done. Our group of 4 from Australia enjoyed our stay, and would recommend without hesitation. We came by bus from Longono (half hour), note no taxis in Laguardia, so a car to get around the region would be better. Recommend as a perfect hotel for a few days and explore the region.

Very historic and beautiful!
Great little place to stay a couple of days. The hotel is in the little city ofLaguardia and cars are not allowed in the city. It is very old but has been kept up and has pretty modern things in the bathroom. We liked being able to walk the city and not have to drive. Great place to see the Rioja wine country. It is a special little place and I recommend a stay if you can.

Exactly what I expected in an amazing old town
I was looking for a special and out of the beaten path town & hotel and this hotel and Laguardia were exactly what I was searching for. Very quaint town, amazing local food & wines & views. The weather could not be better as well. If you want to get away from the big city crowds and go back in time, this is the spot. Very friendly folks and I would do it again if I could.

Old but classy
It was a one-night stay but we enjoyed it so much. When you see the entrance door of the hotel it gives you the feeling of excellence. The receptionist Ruth was very helpful and full of happy face. It cleared away our tiredness immediately. We liked the room, it was very comfortable. The renovation was enough, not showy. They arranged the heating problem very quickly. We had our meal at their restaurant which was very delicious. The breakfast was fine. You should ask to see the small bodegas under the building. Impressive. I recommend the place, who likes the quality of past. It is still there.

What an amazing 3 day stay. We were treated very well by all the staff. Breakfast was excellent as was our evening meal. The dining rooms are small and intimate and old. The building oozes with history. Our room was very nice and clean. After sightseeing for the day our room was always nice and cosy. The wine tasting is a must. We did buy but there was no pressure put on us at all. We enjoyed hearing the history of the building which was built in 1619 from Juan. We were sorry to leave and we definately want to go back but when the weather is a little warmer.

Historic property in the center of Laguardia
Hotel is in a 400 year old building with historic charm. It does not have all of the modern amenities. Owner offers a personal touch with a welcome drink and tour of the cellars. Family also makes wine. Breakfast was good. Good location for exploring Laguardia, but you have to park outside the walking streets. Sometimes difficult to find staff with questions.
