It was hauntingly beautiful to see all the trees without their leaves and the summer cottages empty. Hiking was amazing with lots of gushing waterfalls. The owner also has a fenced in area in the back of the house for any dogs that attend the trip with you. The location is perfect for any sightseeing you want to go to in the UP. Make sure to bring bug spray- the mosquitos are pretty bad around this time of year. Overall it was a fantastic house to stay in and we plan to book when we come back to the UP! ##### Ann D. Clean, charming, safe and centrally located to explore the Eastern UP. Sam is almost as awesome as his Pasties. My group stayed 3 days and 4 nights. We went to Mackinaw Island one day, we went to see the Soo Locks the second day and on the third day we went to shipwreck museum and lighthouse at Whitefish Point. This place was the perfect "Base Camp" and more than worth the money. I highly recommend it and don't forget to claim your free Pastie from Sam. They are truly amazing...like Sam. ##### Terry W.
