Probably the best hotel we've ever had! The hotel was clean, comfortable and equipped with excellent facilities. The food on offer was first class, we absolutely loved our stay here.

It was potentially a beautiful place to stay but spoilt by the fact it’s next to a noisy building site. When I asked the staff about this I was met with a shrug and told that the noise stops at the weekend - not much comfort when my stay started on a Monday… the wild swimming pool is lovely but when the soundtrack is banging and grinding from builders it’s not exactly relaxing. What makes it particularly bad is that the hotel is billed as a tranquil retreat, which is why I booked it. It’s not just somewhere to sleep, while being out and about during the day. On a more positive note the saunas are nice, although the spa treatment was average. There is no air conditioning in the rooms but I was offered a fan when I questioned this, which helped, The five course vegan meal every night included some great dishes, but I was charged €2.50 for tap water. There was no mention of this until the bill at checkout - apparently “for service”. Toiletries in the room were minimal - one hand wash and one body/hair wash - as were towels. Breakfast included one free latte/ cappuccino/ flat white type coffee but if you wanted more, you had to pay. The filter coffee was undrinkable. Additional charges would be fine in a budget hotels but this was billed as a luxury stay. It just felt like they were cutting corners and the staff couldn’t have seemed less interested: I wasn’t once asked if I was enjoying my stay. As I say, it had the potential to be lovely but..

La Vimea was one of the nicest hotels I have ever stayed at. The service was wonderful from check in to check out and everything in between. The food was super creative, delicious and incredibly beautiful, and the location of the hotel is right by the mountains so you can literally walk outside and start hiking or you can also enjoy the towns Main Street. I loved all the warm wood tones in the hotel and all the thoughtful decorative touches. Could not recommend this place more!

All service available is excellent. Dinner was an incredible experience every evening. The negative part was that the room didn’t have air conditioning and it was hot during our stay.
