This secluded 4 bedroom/3.5 bath cabin is on 2 acres in the San Isabel National Forest with an amazing 500 feet of Chalk Creek River waterfront. The outdoor fire pit allows for a pleasant evening of roasting marshmallows. Sit on the wraparound deck and enjoy your early morning coffee or an evening cool breeze while watching the sunset on Mt. Antero. Bring everyone together for an evening meal fresh off of the gas grill in the outdoor dining area. Step inside to an open floor plan with a well-appointed Kitchen and Great Room with a natural stone fireplace. What a great place to unplug and unwind after a day of play! The huge windows in both the Great Room and the Sunroom allow for natural light as well as an unbelievable view of Mt. Antero and Chalk Cliffs. The main level has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The upstairs loft has three single beds along with a powder room. The walkout basement has the fourth bedroom, bathroom/laundry combo, and a game room with a ping pong table. When you think of escaping to the mountains, Chalk Creek Riverhouse will meet all of your expectations! The Buena Vista-Salida area is spectacular; even though I've been visiting Colorado for over 25 years, I had never seen the Arkansas River valley and the Collegiate Peaks, and we all agreed that we must return ASAP. The house itself was very comfortable and clean. Three full, private bathrooms and a half bath in the loft were key. The location next to a roaring creek, and the firepit by the creek, were special. A few minor things were lacking (e.g., a cutting board in the kitchen, girl shampoo in the bathrooms), but overall a wonderful and memorable vacation. We'll be back. Thank you. DAC ##### David A. C. Check-in was easy and the property managers were highly available when we had questions. It's a cabin, so expect some dated elements (those showers are a tight fit...) but overall was very happy. Appreciated some of the small things, like the owners providing firewood for the fire pit and detergent for the on-site laundry. Also enjoyed the availability of various games, ping pong, pool table, and air hockey in the basement. The stream is a short walk down from the cabin, and you'll get to fall asleep to the sounds of rushing water. Overall, highly recommend. Just a warning for anyone staying in the loft: it gets HOT up there. The rest of the house was perfectly comfortable if you timed the opening of windows and closing of shades. ##### Mike B.
