Directly across the river from Front Street and the Natchitoches Riverfront. This newly remodeled home has 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms and sleeping arrangements for up to 8 guests to spread out comfortably throughout an impressive 2700 square feet of living space, making it an ideal choice for a family or a group of close friends looking for the ultimate Natchitoches experience. This amazing home has everything you'll need to assure a comfortable stay, including wireless internet, cable, and 5 flat screen TV's Located within the Natchitoches Historic District, this relaxing retreat has been updated with rustic style and features an expansive entry/ kitchen area with plenty of seating at the island, dining table, and chairs. There are beautiful wide plank floors and rugs throughout the common areas and carpeting in the bedrooms. A beautiful spiral staircase winds it way to the downstairs floor where you will find a spacious den with a queen sleeper sofa, bar area with mini-fridge, big screen TV, bedroom and bath. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you will need to cook and create a magnificent meal. There is a five burner gas range top, 2 built in electric ovens, microwave, large refrigerator, dishwasher and plenty of pots, pans and cooking utensils. The 3 bedrooms are large at 200-225 sq ft each and the master and downstairs bedrooms feature en-suite bathrooms. Each bedroom is equipped with a king size bed and feature Casper mattresses, luxurious linens and flat screen televisions. All the bedrooms have french doors that open out onto rear porches and the river. All three bathrooms have large walk in tile showers with bench seats. The bathrooms have plenty of storage space and are stocked with plush bath towels, hand towels and wash cloths. The master bath also features a generous soaking tub. There are double vanities in each bathroom so everyone has plenty of room. A commercial sized tank-less water heater ensures that you will never run out of hot water. Outside, the rear porches both upstairs and down, run the width of the house at 60'. there are plenty of seating options, and it is a very relaxing spot for morning coffee. Behind the carport is a gorgeous new 16X27 deck with a patio table and chairs, charcoal grill. There is a private pier/boat dock at the river, and it is a great spot to get in a little fishing. We have a no pet policy, however family pets have visited the property, so we cannot guarantee it is allergen free. The cleaning crew will sweep, mop and vacuum between each guest. We were excited about our stay, as the house is located on Cane River. It provides a breathtaking view of the river along with shops, restaurants & bars on Front Street. Our excitement about the property was curtailed upon arrival. The property had NOT been cleaned nor sanitized for our stay. Our party moved to action cleaning and sanitizing all areas of the home's interior. We were deliberate in our search for a "pet-free" property. The property advertises as "No pets allowed". However, pet hair was throughout the property to include the stairs where there was a pet gate stored against the wall adjacent to the stairs. We wiped and sanitized hard surfaces that had visible food stains, sticky residue or buildup: kitchen countertops, island, refrigerator's front/door handles, dishwasher front, bathroom countertops and toilets. Kitchen & bathroom floors were mopped. They were slippery upon arrival with a shiny residue. All carpeted or rug surfaces were vacuumed to rid the property of pet hair and Doritos crumbs that were on the main floor, lower bedroom and stairs. The club chairs located on the main floor behind the island are heavily stained/soiled along with the window seat in the dining area. Two of the bedroom's duvets are soiled/stained. It is a short walk to down town, did it with my 6 year old grandson and he walked the full distance. Kitchen is wonderful for hosting friends and family. A long, huge island made it ideal for several crock pots, and plates of food and snacks. The back porches are covered and run the length of the house, plus the outside deck off the garage. The pictures are accurate and the location is perfect. We had an excellent experience and the view from the porches are spectacular.
