I didn’t mind the remoteness, but getting a taxi or uber to town can be a challenge. An attendant at breakfast would be nice bcz I wanted to broil eggs but couldn’t find pots and pans. The cabins are a bit small but were well appointment, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. It was easy for Uber drivers to pick us up and drop us off (a convenient location for going to town for dinner or going to the park for the day). We didn't have a car but parking looked easy as well. We enjoyed hanging out in the lobby area where they have a kitchen you can use to cook food and the breakfast each morning was a lovely touch. It’s a few miles away from the downtown, but that means we’ve had gorgeous views, nice walks, peaceful days and nights. The owners are so kind and everything is tech-friendly and “auto-service.” Breakfast was ready to go the night before and that was perfect for our early days. They have an awesome coffee machine that makes great espresso, too! The rooms are comfortable and the rain show is awesome! They even remembered to celebrate our honeymoon, which was so thoughtful. The superior room’s hot tub is also a very awkward feature as it is placed outside of the room, and the night of our stay the wind was freezing and strong. Everything else about the experience was not positive. The site does not have anyone working there the majority of the time, so you are on your own to check in & stay there. That is normally not an issue, but the staff does not communicate or follow-up with information that is vital. I called to set up a late check in and had to follow up with 2 additional calls. On the 3rd call I was told they would send the information on the What App, which I advised I did not have. I requested text as the form of communication. He agreed and we texted from that point on. He never sent the lock code or our cabin number because he was not in the office. He said he would send the next morning. I texted the next morning to remind him to send the information. I did not receive any information because he failed to communicate with the other person these instructions. I had to make other arrangements for the nights stay. I finally received the information the 2nd day when I called (again). It was then explained that the information was sent, but it was not communicated to the other person that it needed to be texted. We finally got into the room. The breakfast the next morning was ok. There are a lot of places to stay in Punta Arenas that are much better than AKA and that have a desire to meet the minimum customer service requirements. This is not an isolated experience. A temperatura na cabana é bem instável, e o aquecedor não deu conta. Além disso, o local para refeições não tem aquecimento. Sleek, chic and minimalist but beautiful and lovingly designed, with spectacular views, and making real efforts towards sustainability- we thoroughly recommend. Beds were very comfortable, towels white and fluffy, units private and a good size. We loved the cozy communal area where we sat with tea to review photos in the evening and take breakfast in the morning. Breakfast was fresh and delicious. Rodrigo was charming and helpful. The property was beautiful, beds were very comfortable. As a whole, the property was very detail oriented, everything was carefully picked, well designed and beautiful. Cozy and nice view, outside of town.
