I would definitely stay at the property again, pretty much convenient for me. There are only a few things, maybe some black out curtains I know it’s a preference and not everyone like them, there was a hard time finding a balance in the shower to get room temperature water, it was either to HOT or to COLD! When we arrived the a/c was off so we could not stay in the room, it was 90 plus degrees, also the mini fridge was unplugged. Room was dated and not very clean. The property manager made sure our keys were in our rooms and she brought towels up right away. The pool was nice to enjoy although the property is currently under renovations for upgrades so there is some activity buzzing around. The staff were all very helpful and friendly and accommodating for us, even giving us a drive to a restaurant when our taxi didn’t show up and waiting for us to take us back home. The friendly women at the front desk went out and purchased a kettle for our room so we could make tea which was thoughtful. They also allowed us to delay check out so that we didn’t have to drag our luggage around Nassau. Note of caution on finding the hotel: Google Maps is incorrect and will lead you to the Sandals resort…the staff have tried to fix this issue several times to no avail. Be sure to tell your taxi driver you are going to the Landshark hotel (the locals still know it by the old name). It was a fairly quiet area, and was within walking distance of cable beach, Starbucks and a local grocery store. The room was a decent size and it was clean. The AC worked well and that was a definite plus. The room was basic though, just a bed. There was nothing was in the room to make the stay more comfortable. No hangars in the closet, no chair to sit on or just to have to throw clothes on. No kettle or coffee machine and no cups to have a drink. Towels were limited and there was no hand towel or floor towel in the bathroom. There was nowhere to hang a towel, no hooks or rails. A lamp on the beside table would have been nice as there was only one light on the wall and no curtains on the upper windows so it was very bright in the morning. One additional mirror outside the bathroom would have helped as it was challenging when trying to get ready. Lots of potential with this property! If you don't need any fuss and can fend for yourself it's ok for a couple of nights. Shout out to Montez!! Who was always around to help and went above and beyond when we were stuck! The room had a bed, microwave, mini fridge and TV. Went to adjust the angle of the TV and it almost fell off the wall. Bed was comfortable enough. Bathroom needs some repair work. Had trouble getting the shower turned on and never had any hot water. Additionally , the tub did not drain very well. By the time I was finished showering, the water was up at my ankles. There was hot water after when I brushed my teeth. Also, handle came off the bathroom faucet the first time we tried to use it. Room only has an overhead light. No bedside lamps so if you want to read in bed, you are forced to get out of bed to turn the light off. Overall, room was small but you get what you pay for. I was not expecting a 5 star experience but this was disappointing.
