The hotel and staff were fabulous. My only complaints: the food is vastly over-priced, with variable quality; plus no local alternatives without a cab ride. The hotel should have alternative coffee franchises. Starbucks is my least favourite coffee!!!

Nice, but pricey

Posted 20-Jan-2016
I've gone to Atlantis on 2 occasions, first time I stayed at the royal towers and the second at the beach towers. The royal towers are nice if you want to be close to all the amenities. The beach tower is good if you love the beach. If you're looking for a nice beach where you can feel comfortable walking without shoes the beach tower is your best bet. The beach by the other two towers have a lot of rocks in the sand and water, it's really uncomfortable. The waves are calmer there, but in my opinion not work the risk of getting hurt by jagged rocks, which I did. The hotel service and cleanliness is excellent as one would expect with the prices they charge. Everything in the hotel is pretty expensive. If on a budget, you're better off eating outside the hotel. If you do stay in the hotel though the food is pretty delicious.

Old hotel needs updating

Posted 19-Jan-2016
Beach Tower rated higher than what it should be, recommended for kids, slides and kids club far from this area. Extremely disappointed in room for rate. Staff nice, lobby and restaurants there great, comparable to other towers, rooms are not. Hotel needs updating, Royal Towers better fit for a bit more $.No thanks to Expedia. I handled it on my own once there.

Atlantis Beach Towers

Posted 17-Jan-2016
Pros: Hospitality; Courteous
Cons: The thermostat
Location: On the main island of Atlantis everything within walking distance. Local attraction to get a feel of local living is off the island 10-15mins out.
My experience was wonderful the staff was great and on the entire island the hospitality was great. We had a friend who wanted to join in on the festivities and easy as it was all he had to do was pay $50 a night of his stay. GREAT PRICE!!!!!

Great hotel the staff make it even better

Posted 16-Jan-2016
This hotel is very nice its not the cove however you still have access to all of Atlantis from this hotel the rooms need some Upgrading the water pressure is no good for the showers that's the main bad thing but other then that the hotel is pretty nice make sure you get the free breakfast the breakfast at market place is absolutely amazing they have something for everyone I would suggest you stay here and remember it's the Bahamas you don't need more then three days there bc there isn't much to do go down to the fish fry the locals are very nice and their food is good as well. Thanks Brittany at the front desk for all of your help you definitely made my bday special

Quietest tower of all, next to the beach

Posted 16-Jan-2016
We absolute loved staying at Atlantis Beach Tower. Staff is super friendly and everywhere you go they try hard to please you. Upon arrival we were upgraded for free to an ocean view room on the 7th floor. The room is a little dated and air conditioner is very noisy but this is the only negative about the room. We purchased free breakfast deal and it was so worth it. We could eat at 4 different restaurants and order anything we want. They took it off the bill upon our check out, so pay extra for a breakfast and you won't regret it. Dinner cost around 60$ per person at the hotel. It rained on us 4 days out 7 but there are so many things to do it's fantastic and the rain didn't bother us. Do bring a jacket because it's very cold in the hotel. People smoked inside the hotel, in the casino, on the beach, by the pool and it was a little uncomfortable. We walked 30,000 steps a day, so prepare to walk a lot. A lot of stairs. I saw a man carrying a stroller up the stairs because the is no other access. We took a ferry to downtown but I didn't like the experience there. People give you "free gifts" and then ask for a 10$ donations for kids. I was called a "snake" by a local drunk man. The beach is fantastic and very long. We could swim in the ocean only couple of times due to high waves and the life guards will blow a whistle at you if you try to swim. We tried every water slide in the Atlantis= a lot of fun, especially Leap of Faith. Great experience! Loved everything!!! Thank you!

Visit in the off season

Posted 15-Jan-2016
Pros: nearly everything
Cons: limited dining in the off season
Location: downtown Nassau is only a 10 minute cab ride away
Visiting in the off season (mid-Jan) offers many advantages, better rates, nearly empty beaches, great for private walks after dark. Beautiful and well-managed facility and very attentive staff. An off-season visit (while most kids are in school) is great. We often walked around the island for hour at night without seeking anyone. It was like having a private island. The only down side... many of the eateries had quite limited hours.
