The house is so warm and welcoming starting with the lush vegetation, beautiful landscaping, and big front porch! Jul 7, 2024 Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication, location, listing accuracy #### Peace and relaxation tucked away in the woods Really enjoyed this Beautiful renovated old farm house tucked away in the woods. There were deer around and it was nice to just sit there and relax and watch the hummingbird on the front porch. Beds were comfortable and had AC in there. Every room had a TV which was great there's been other places we stayed in that only had a TV in the main room and that was it. We slept great in there and it was so peaceful. It's been beautifuly renovated and the bathroom was nice how it's had everything updated. Everything was clean and well taken care of. Every day we found another supprise thing that made us love the house and location more. It is on a very private road, so private that our puppy barked like crazy at the one and only car that drove by. You feel like you have the entire mountain to yourself! There are great short hiking trails LITERALLY across the street and longer trails a short country drive away. Nashville was an easy drive, and the small town Main St for food in Kingston Springs. The place was a little off the beaten path, but I was aware when booking and we loved having the peaceful location. It is also closer than you would think to some really good restaurants and shopping. We were only able to stay a couple nights and a big part of it was away from the house due to the concert and some other site seeing. We would have loved so much to have more time to spend in the house though. It was very welcoming and had plenty of room for us. My two younger kids spent all the time they could in the sunroom. Alicia responded quickly to an inquiry we had and I think she had about everything you may ever forget to bring. The “coffee counter” was a great touch for us! Issues with heat These are the most responsive owners I've ever stayed with! The farmhouse is lovely, old, and in a beautiful natural area, especially if you want to spend time at Harpeth River State Park. The stars are amazing, and the park is wonderful. We are city folk, so portable radiators as the only source of heat in the bedrooms were new to us. One stopped working, twice a fuse blew, and I wonder if the gas fireplace in the living room shouldn't perhaps have a screen in front of it. But every single time we had any issue, the family was there within minutes! It's an historic building with much to recommend a stay there. ##### Paula W. Nestled in a quiet wooded area, you will have all the amenities-full kitchen, 2 bedrooms, washer/dryer, fireplace. We stayed during a cold spell in January and were plenty warm with the portable heaters in each room, which we were able to adjust to our comfort. Alicia responded quickly each time I reached out. The property is well-kept, bedding is comfy, rooms are tidy and well-appointed. They were thoughtful in salting the porch and steps to prevent slipping from the ice/snow. What a pleasant surprise to have some yummies on the kitchen table when we arrived! We are always grateful when owners allow pets, especially a big dog like ours.
