( cottage is less than 1 mile from the downtown area) Downtown Franklin is known for all it's unique shops, restaurants, tours, antiquing, historical sights, live music venues, playhouse, Civil War sites, etc. and about the friendliest folks you will meet anywhere. Be sure to save some time for visiting the quaint little Village of Leiper's Fork located about 8 miles west of downtown Franklin, for another big surprise or should I say treat. It's like a step back in time where more of the friendly southern hospitality will welcome you to the Village....antiquing, art galleries, restaurants, live music most every Thurs , Fri, Sat, Sun. If you want to venture to downtown Nashville it is approximately 20 miles North of Franklin taking I-65 N. Lots to do there too! After enjoying fun filled days visiting all the fantastic things there are to do in Franklin, Leiper's Fork or Nashville, head yourself right back to Harmony Cottage to relax, fix a nice home cooked meal in the fully equipped kitchen, or a snack, watch some TV, sit on the patio, or make plans to go out and kick up your heels for the evening. The beds were comfortable. The bathrooms were clean and spacious the kitchen had everything we needed. We spent some time walking around the neighborhood and got to meet some of the neighbors who were all super sweet. The house is on a dead end so the street is quiet which we really appreciated. Most windows don’t have screens , so had to keep AC on. Didn’t want to let in bugs or critters. Living room furniture wish they had some sort of recliners.beds are comfortable though. The house was all that I had hoped for and more. It was extremely clean, well furnished and in very close proximity to all that Franklin has to offer!
