Balcony is very cute and nice place to sit and relax. We were attending a game at Vanderbilt. It was about a 25 minute walk, but easy walk and very safe neighborhood. We liked that it was walking distance to coffee shops and stores in the area. It is on the top floor of a 3 story building and I didn't realize that when I booked it. I could have easily missed that detail in the listing. There were quite a few stairs if that is an issue. Was not a problem for us. All in all a great experience! Home was very well taken care of and had everything we needed. It was super close to the hospital which was very convenient for late nights and early morning trips. That’s not what stands out though….what was important to me was the compassion and helpfulness of the host! He made sure I was taken care of when there was going to be an issue with my kids parking at the house while they were there for a couple days. Just went above and beyond! The location was ideal for that (Vandy, Belmont in particular); the street was cute and quiet. Basically everything is within a 15 minute drive. The unit was perfectly clean and had all of the necessities. Like other comments, the stairs could be a problem for some but if you roll with it, it's great - lots of character. Really enjoyed sitting on the porch with a glass of wine and neighbor watching. Hosts were great and quickly responded to any questions that we had. This darling, historic, funky apartment had all the luxuries of modern day (Roku TV, W/D, cozy balcony, forced air, and a Keurig) with all the charm of an established, quiet neighborhood just on the edge of the Peabody end of Vandy's campus. Quirky Saltillo tile staircase to tackle on your way to the front door, but you arrive at the cutest apt! Willie Nelson and Kris Kristopherson must have had friends who lived here (they used to live next door). The decor is adorable, but the bathroom is a little rough if you aren't used to vintage buildings. It was a perfect home for me and my mom while my dad spent two weeks in Vandy ICU.
