Via Litoranea in Sant'Isidoro, a coastal hamlet of the municipality of Nardò in the province of Lecce, is a splendid seaside resort in Salento which, although not directly connected by railway lines or motorways, can be easily reached and well connected through a network of buses, provincial roads and connections with the main railway stations and airports in the region.
Connections with public transport
Sant’Isidoro is mainly served by the bus lines of the provincial service of the company S.T.P. Lecce (Società Trasporti Pubblici Lecce), which guarantees connections with nearby towns. During the summer period, in particular, the service is enhanced with more frequent trips dedicated to tourists.
Lecce – Nardò – Sant’Isidoro line: the most direct connection is with Nardò, from which you can then reach Sant’Isidoro in about 15–20 minutes with local buses.
Salento in Bus Service: during the summer months this seasonal tourist service is active, promoted by the Puglia Region, which connects Sant’Isidoro to Lecce, Porto Cesareo, Gallipoli, Santa Maria al Bagno and Torre Lapillo. The most useful lines include:

How to reach the train stations
The closest train station is Nardò Centrale, served by Ferrovie del Sud Est (FSE) and reachable in about 15 minutes from Sant’Isidoro by bus or car.
From Nardò Centrale it is possible to reach Lecce (the main terminus of the area) in about 45 minutes by regional train. Lecce is connected with numerous regional, intercity and high-speed trains (Frecciarossa and Italo) to Bari, Taranto, Brindisi, Rome, Milan and other Italian destinations.
Alternatively, you can also reach the Copertino station, located on the same FSE line, about 20 minutes by car or 30 minutes by bus from Sant’Isidoro.
To reach Sant’Isidoro from the train stations:
From Lecce station, you can continue by bus (Salento in Bus, line 104 or 109) or rent a car.
From Nardò station, you can use the local STP service or taxi.

By car: about 55 minutes via SP359 and SS613
By bus: you can take a shuttle bus from the airport to Lecce (Air Shuttle or STP Lecce), then continue with Salento in Bus to Sant’Isidoro.
By train: from the airport take the shuttle to Brindisi FS, then a train to Lecce and finally a bus to Sant’Isidoro.

By car: about 2 hours and 10 minutes via SS613 and SS16
By train: from the airport take the shuttle to Bari Centrale station, then train to Lecce (Intercity or Frecciarossa) and from there bus to Sant’Isidoro.

Road and motorway connections

SP286 directly connects Sant’Isidoro to Porto Cesareo and Torre Inserraglio.
From Lecce take the SS101 towards Gallipoli, Nardò exit, then continue to Sant’Isidoro via the SP17 or SP286.
From Brindisi and the Adriatic area you can take the SS613 Brindisi–Lecce, exit at Lecce Tangenziale Ovest and continue towards Nardò–Sant’Isidoro.
Motorways: There are no motorways in Salento, but the SS613 (Brindisi–Lecce) and the SS101 (Lecce–Gallipoli) are fast-flowing arteries that ensure good travel times.
