Terrazze sullo Ionio è situata nella zona residenziale di Santa Caterina. La marina di Nardò è caratterizzata da suggestive scogliere in gran parte accessibili, come quelle su cui si affaccia la Torre dell\`Alto, simbolo del Parco naturale di Portoselvaggio, raggiungibile a piedi.   
A Santa Caterina sono presenti anche due spiaggette di sabbia, di cui una con lido attrezzato, numerosi bar, un minimarket, edicola, tabacchi, pizzerie e ristoranti. La città di Nardò con il suo bellissimo centro storico si raggiunge in auto in 5 minuti.
