Spaccanapoli and the Decumani One of the city's most iconic streets is Spaccanapoli, which ideally splits Naples in two—a route that follows the route of the lower decumanus of ancient Neapolis. Monuments, churches, artisan workshops, and historic cafés line this axis. Walking along the decumani, you enter the heart of the city center: Via San Gregorio Armeno, known worldwide as the street of nativity scenes, lined with artisan workshops that operate year-round. Via dei Tribunali, once the central hub, preserves alleys, minor churches, and the aroma of street food. Bus and Tram Several surface transportation stops are located nearby. Line 202 (Via Duomo, Corso Umberto I): connects the historic center with the Piazza Garibaldi and Capodichino areas. Line R2: runs along Corso Umberto I, connecting Piazza Garibaldi with Piazza Municipio and Piazza Trieste e Trento, passing through the heart of the city.
