Supposedly it was due to "construction" but I should have been notified way earlier, not when I was changing planes flying cross country. Vacasa offered an undesirable unit in a different area which, for safety etc sake I didn't want. The property is nicely located just 4 blocks from 5th Ave, where all the shops and restaurants are located. The beach is just 6 blocks away. The unit was very clean and well-maintained. It was nice having all the linens provided, including beach towels. Having a full kitchen helped us save money by allowing us to cook most meals instead of eating out every meal. Having a washer and dryer available in the unit allowed us to wash clothes before heading home, which was a nice bonus. We were disappointed that the advertised hot tub on the roof was out of commission. There was moldy water in it and clearly had not been used in awhile. Also, communication with the property manager was not prompt. We waited more than a day for a response, and still did not get an answer to the question asked (if the laundry pods provided were color-safe, or bleach only as there are solid white linens). We ended up purchasing a bottle of color-safe detergent and leaving it for the next renters, just to be safe. ##### Kimberly W.
