The staff is doubtfully obeying and enforcing covid-protocols.
The room is overpriced piss elegant. In the main building the 4 rooms are cloistered in a dark narrow low ceilinged foyer at the top of some skinny rug worn stairs.
The lobby is group of oddly connected low ceilinged rooms with stagnant air where guests congregate and enjoy off brand California wines and perhaps create thier own super speader event.
The parking area, thumbnail shaped, is difficult to get off and on to Silverado Trail. The is a sign warning guests to not leave valuables inside of cars overnight. That the Inn was not responsible.
After 9pm the lobby is closed and the same responsible people instruct you how to use the cheap Home Depot electonic lock mounted to a flimsy out of plumb glass front door. By the looks of things the combination hasnt been changed in years.
I had their pizza, charcuterie plate, and marcona almonds brought to the room. They arrived in reasonable time, pizza hot, generous portions and quality charcuterie, an abundance of marclna almonds, jardiniere extraordinaire, perfect crostini. Quality bath and toiletries from L’Octane.
Wine country cliche, Boring and unimaginative interior design and lifestyle image. Tired and unexciting. Lots of potential.
