On one of the beds, there were obvious greasy looking spots on the grey comforter/blanket. In front of the bathroom, there were dried up droplets of something on the floor. The soundproofing seem to be nonexistent as we could hear the TV from the next unit well past midnight.

The rooms were newly updated and very nice. Comfortable and clean. Loved our stay Great sushi place attached. Only down side was coffee machine was missing a part. You can hear traffic noise but that didn't bother us.

Our booking didn't happen, there was a miscommunication between Expedia & the hotel itself. There were no rooms available so we stayed elsewhere

Great place
Overall the stay was great. Easy to find lots of parking. Friendly staff. The restaurant is excellent. Place is clean with comfy beds n pillows. Ice machine would be nice but there is a fridge n microwave n coffee maker so really a nice to have rather than a need. Would stay here again for sure

The room is quite nice, don’t let the outside of the building throw you. It looks as if they are working on the exterior now. I wish we had chosen the Japanese food that is available on the premises. We made the choice to order in Chinese food from the Golden Dragon. It was the worst Chinese food I have ever eaten. That opinion was mutual to all four of us.

The rooms have been updated at this hotel. We stayed 2 nights, in Port Alberni for a fishing trip. This is the second year we stayed at the Timberlodge. The price is great being the summer season. I recommend the sushi restaurant located at the Timberlodge.

For late arriving guests (when it’s dark) alight illuminating the outdoor phone and brief instructions, would prevent folks from finding elsewhere to stay, as almost happened to me. TV needs control by remote.. Otherwise reasonable and good accommodations.

Good value. We stayed at this property on 2 separate occasions. If you can get past the unappealing outside, and unpleasant view, this is a great place to stay when passing through Port Alberni. Both rooms that we stayed in felt newly renovated, were large and clean. The bathrooms were particularly well done. The check-in was efficient and friendly, the attached sushi restaurant was worth ordering from. I would definitely stay here again.

If you're expecting a palace, this is not for you. The premises is old and a bit run down, but for the price it is excellent VFM. It was clean, the staff friendly and helpful and the onsite Sushi restaurant fantastic. The next cheapest available was over $200 more. We were so happy with our stay we stayed again a few nights later on the way back from Tofino to Victoria. It is perfectly located to break the trip up to give you more time to explore. Thouroughly recomended as long as your expectations are not high.

The room was dirty, the floors were so dirty i was sticking to it. We looked onto the roof and there was garbage on it, very tacky. Will never go there again.

The owner was very accommodating to change my motel stay to RV. Unfortunately the sewer dumps for the next camper are right beside your doorstep. The smell is a bit much.

Nice spacious grounds for and pet-friendly. Room was comfortable and pleasant. Manager was extremely accommodating, as I was arriving late for check-in due to travel delays, and he provided access to the room with option to check in the next day. THIS WAS SO KIND AND APPRECIATED, AS IT WAS MY FIRST TIME TRAVELING TO CANADA FROM THE USA. I chose this motel due to PET FRIENDLY policy, and this was a great benefit as my 7 lb retired service dog travels everywhere with me. Parking was an issue due to the restaurant on the bottom floor of the motel whose dining and pickup service customers took up most of the parking spaces. Room service did not provide clean towels, until I caught the maid mid-week and asked for linens. The motel does not have an office or from what I could tell, laundry facilities. You need to enter onsite restaurant to communicate about lodging questions. As a single older woman, I felt a bit unsafe due to the large number of male construction workers staying there. Motel did not have obvious staff on site, and I had to climb a stairwell several times a day. At times this involved passing other residents who were drinking beer and socializing on the upstairs balcony at top of stairwell. The friend I was visiting routinely drove me from her house in Port Alberni to the motel if it was after dark, she then remained in parking lot watching until I arrived safely in my room. (Although nothing really happened so I was probably safer than I felt).
