The hotel itself is not close to the main area which you can stay at for the same cost. Only good thing about this hitel was the sink and toilet area. Our blankets has stains all over them so we had to resort to using bathrobes as blankets while cranking the heat up. Bathroom had a bunch of mold inside. I would suggest staying close to the main strip amd not at this hotel. The cleanliness was below average. Dust on pretty much every surface that can accumulate dust (including the door lock to the bathroom) mould in the shower on the ceiling, around the vent and all over the blind. The open air bath was not an open air bath at all and is also not hot spring water (in room information confirmed this). The town, Kusatsu, however is a must visit.
